| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- How is there no episode discussion for this yet! In any case, I'm really happy that this didn't go the typical shoujo route and have Maya in denial about Mr. Purple Roses for a million episodes; this episode in particular was a huge turning point for both Maya's feelings about Masumi and her own version of the Scarlet Angel. Looking forward to Maya's rendition of water. |

| It's the first episode that I gave 4 instead of 5 stars. All of the plot and its expected intensity just won't fit into the last 5 episodes. It's not the scriptwriter's fault, they only have that much material to work with and it's more than common in animanga, considering how the industry works. Maya understanding that she's in love with Hayami felt anticlimactic. Somehow realistic, but anticlimatic. Maybe I would have preferred them to keep their distance forever. |
