When Cars went blonde i thought he became Dio lol. So he dies in space huh?
The narrator said that since he couldn't to anything but thing and it was a torture he started getting tired of thinking so in the end he even stop thinking. That means he became brain dea so it's nothing more that a rock in space.

Btw i know Jojo had some crazy shit but seriously Jojo landing in the sea on that piece of rock and everything being just fine is a little too much considering his human. The rock after landing in the sea from such height will land like an explosion. You will be turn to pieces even if you where made of medal. That was a little too much cause it makes completely superman.

Late to the party! I finished this about two weeks ago. I just never completed it on my list.

Congrats to David Production on an excellent adaptation. Knowing very little about JoJo, except it's immense popularity, I still went in with high expectations, and it surpassed them in every single way. Man, it sure was a wild ride. I can only hope that Part 3 gets animated soon. Maybe next Fall or Winter?

HUst wondering what that casket in the end was? I tought about Dio but Erina used that to escape so... I'm not really sure what I should be expecting but I really liked this series as a whole specially the Part 2. Awaiting for Part 3 to come :)

It's Dio's coffin. Notice the word "Dio" on the side above the lock :P. This is a plothole that's been discussed to death by fans of the manga since 1989 xD

The generally accepted solution for this is that there were 2 coffins put on the ship: one for Dio and one for Wang Chang, and that Erina escaped with Wang Chang's coffin. This is more obvious in the manga, where Jonathan falls against Dio's coffin, then Erina picks up the baby and runs AWAY from Dio's coffin.

Some subs used the word trunk. If it pleases you, you can just assume Dio hid in a piece of furniture instead of a coffin.
But yeah, Araki is known for having quite a few big holes in his manga.

Don't remember who, but someone said that, since there were two vampires in the ship (Dio and Chan), it wasn't that ludicrous that there were two coffins. Of course, that have its own set of inconsistences... but, how cares, really

Really great and epic way to end it! In the end the battle was one and he did survived and even got a lovely wife! Well I really loved how they finished of the series! The whole anime was pretty epic as well, each and every episode an overload of epic proportions and the great character development and buildup towards the end sure was great! That ending just made it even more interesting! I wonder what that was all about and hopefully watchable in the sequel made in 2000!

So lets see what that has to offer!

Glorious, hearing the first OP in mid battle with Cars was just orgasmic, oh Boy i freaking loved it PART 2 mainly cuz of Joseph but all was really well done between Caesar'death and Cars's trip into outer space just a few examples of this great adaptation. Part 1 gets a 8/10 and Part 2 gets 9.5/10, overall 9/10. Hopefully we wont to wait long for part 3. Sono Chi no Sadame JOOOOOOOOO JO!

If you want to watch in chronological order (which I strongly recommend because you wouldn't understand the plot otherwise), you should go with 2012 - 2000 - 1993. However, the OVAs - while featuring decent animation - diverge from the typical Jojo style that 2012 captures perfectly and are more grounded. I suggest you switch over to the manga after watching 2012.

Okay, it may not be appropriate to talk about realism in this anime but still getting launched more than 925 000 km out of Earth's SOI by a mere volcano eruption is a bit stupid. Overall a great anime though. 8/10

The crazy/stupid things that happen is part of the series charm, though.

Yeah, he will be utterly overshadowed by Jotaro who is the main character, but trust me, he will have his glorious/nostalgic moments.

I watched this to get ready for Stardust Crusaders adaption. Was always more of a passive JoJo fan, I knew of its legacy (and memes lol) and played the fighting games but never read the manga. Figured this would be a good start as any and man what a ride. Kind of crazy how well this series over-the-topness holds up even today. Greatly enjoyed the ride. I can't wait for SC now.

Now I'm ready for Stardust Crusaders, I may have started this series aleady all caught up in the manga, but man oh man was it ever a great feeling to see it all happen again, with voices, and color this time too! Loved it all, can't wait for the next bit.

Cars' death was exceptional, I like how in the manga it stated that "And after a while, he just stopped thinking", it felt so dark and chilling, the anime was well done too, the way they described it didn't feel as dark and punishing to me, but this is a fan sub group known for taking liberties, which I fully enjoyed might I add, especially with dialects and languages.

Suzy Q swaggering in like she owned the funeral, wow, I don't think I've ever seen someone waltz in to a place so solemn with such sexiness dripping off of her, all over the place! I'm sliding out of my chair over here she dripped so much!

It's almost time, where does his hat end and his hair begin? No one ever knows, but what we will know, is when he shows up, because we'll all be there waiting, see you there MAL viewers!

Araki stated that the hat thing started for a joke purpose, then it become a kind of habit of him as he liked it and then he kept drawing Jotaro that way.
