For the people confused about his laugh at the end...no, it has nothing to with goals or ulterior motives that he has.

He laughed maniacally because he is still in such shock that the person that was suppose to protect his beloved little sister turned out to be the same person that he regarded as a big threat. Now nobody is there to protect Nunnally, and he's bound to have a life and death match with his best friend, Suzaku.
Lelouch is not the type to cry, so he let his grief and distress in the form of an laugh.

A laugh that I enjoyed a lot :)

Exactly, he realized his best friend is his sworn enemy on the field. And it's big enough to drive him crazy.

I like how this episode shows even Lelouch can hesitate, he's a human afterall.

Lulu is mad.

Great episode here. Toudou indeed has samurai spirit. He's so much like Toshizou Hijikata from Bakumatsu Kikansetsu Irohanihoheto(and the real Hijikata as well, I guess). Kururugi turning out to be trained by him was a great twist.

Lelouch's laugh reminded me of Light Yagami from death note.

Wait, does that mean Lelouch will suffer the same fate as Light? Well, at least I hope that Suzaku dies first before that happen.

Lulu's laugh...was that some kind of catharsis after finding out it's Suzaku? :/ must suck to finally find out that your bff and knight/husband of your sister is your enemy. Well it was bound to happen sooner or later anyways. Lol at Lloyd not making a seat ejection function, and instead the password for some other function is his favorite food. Despite me not liking eccentric people like Lloyd, he can be pretty funny sometimes.

Hmm and seems like Lulu didn't get all the evidence of Shirley's obsession with him out of her room. If the Geass is all powerful, then hypothetically she shouldn't be able to remember anything about her relationship with Lulu. But not sure, it seems like she may possibility remember him at some point in the future due to that foreshadowing?

^That creepy laugh at the end after realising the irony of said situation. Precious friend turns out as worst obstacle as well as a traitor , i'd laugh too^^
Love how Suzaku always dominates on their encounters. But pretty disasisfactory seeing him beeing alive after a battle 7vs1-- at least a couple of would have been appropiate.

Why people assuming Lelouch is "losing it"? He very well may (in fact it's being foreshadowed), but in this particular instance I just found it to be an ironic laugh.

I don't like Suzaku. I don't like characters like him that are incapable of seeing context or nuance. He reminds me of Vash from Trigun. Annoying. On the other hand, I suppose everyone can't be the same.

Another great ep. I loved them finally beating Suzaku, especially using tactics and analysis rather than OP Lancelot with all these hidden skills. I hope he doesn't get super power armor on the season finale or an ultimate laser cannon -_- The Gurren is by far the coolest bot in the series. Nice that they got the scientist lady to help them out with the mechs now.

LuLu imo is way more righteous than Light will ever be (though maybe he'll go crazy later?). LuLu is pretty much a genius fighting for a resistance to topple a corrupt government, with revenge involved. Light wanted to become God and massacred masses of people, even for the smallest of crimes. Everyone was completely afraid of him. LuLu hasn't actually killed anyone that wasn't in combat with him or trying to kill him.

Alright God is my witness, I could have sworn Lelouch knew Suzaku piloted the Lancelot. I mean he did always refer to it as the White Knight or something to that effect. But I figured he was just being vague so Kallen or one of the Resistance members wouldn't put together who he was. In hindsight sure I admit, it seems a little obvious Lelouch didn't know. But it also wasn't a secret was it? Seemed like everyone on the Brittanian side knew. C.C. definitely knew why didn't she tell him? Wouldn't call that a plot hole though. C.C.'s still a pretty inscrutable character. Either way this episode was back to badass robot beat downs after the Mao sidetrack. The prison break was awesome, though it was kind of hilarious when they inter cut it with Euphemia's boring art award show. I want to like Euphemia as a character. She's pretty cute. But the show still needs to do more with her. Seems like it plans to after her dramatic revelation. Also given all the references to it, and that one image in the ED. I've been waiting a minute to see a flashback to lil Lelouch, Suzaku and Nunally. While a slight one that didn't increase our understanding of the characters at all. I enjoyed the brief one we got here and want to know more. Lelouch's laugh at the end doesn't bode well. What's he thinking?
