| dutch is awesome... the big guy's grown on me. not often you get a series with more than a couple of interesting characters who don't feel 2d, may not have seen their full history but they sure have their own individual personalities |

| Interesting episode with the war flashbacks, it's interesting to see the war from different cultural perspectives than the American one I've seen all my life I like the story telling, I really enjoy this anime so far... how did I not watch this sooner???????? really dumbfounded right now hahaha |

| Thoughts so far: I quite like Benny and Dutch, they feel so natural in their actions. Rock and especially Revy just feel artificial and forced, nothing they do just feels genuine or believable to me, like characters from a different universe just shoe horned to fit in the setting. This is a design issue from the writers and unlikely to change but I wish they could do something a bit more to make them likeable, they just feel so one dimensional at this point. |

| Interesting little episode, although mainly played up as buildup for the next one as this one gives background into what the next arc is, relating to Neo-Nazis who heard about the painting that was in a sunken ship at the eve of Nazi Germany's defeat during World War II as that painting is supposed to carry the hope for Neo-Nazis in the future to unite and essentially carry on the mission in the modern times in a way. Can't wait to see how shit goes down underwater. |

| Well I didn't think this anime would have nazis in here but there ya go. I feel it was interesting episode we got to see the episode swift between the past and the present and establish the Black Lagoon Company is going after a sunken U-Boat in the first place while it is a good episode and I do like it, I do feel it's a bit on the slow side of things. I understand why that's the case and they are probably saving the action for the next episode but a lot of the episode cuz it's a flashback there's a lot of talking involved and hardly anything happened besides the action at the end. But Revvy's still awesome as a character so there's that. |

| I don't know what I expected from this episode, but I definitely wasn't expecting detailed WWII flashbacks followed by an all-out naval battle against Neo Nazis Although the whole high stakes race against the clock to recover the painting has me looking forward to seeing the next episode |
