| Okay, a complete change of pace this episode, though I guess it's nice to get some character development and info on their past. Good episode. |

| Kagura is a pretty nice character. Liked the greeting between Kagura and the Nabu brothers. I like how they used this episode as a flashback episode. Next episode better get back to the actual scenes. Something seems wrong with Yomi and why she suddenly hates Kagura. |

| Rewatching this nearly 8 years later I am finding myself with the opposite opinion of what i felt back then after reading my post. The first two eps while action packed lacked the kind of plot development that this episode had so I have to now find this to be the superior episode of the three. Have to wait until the show is complete and it to all come together to get a real impression though. I don't recall much detail of Ga Rei: Zero now but I gave it an 8/10 back in 2008 so I suppose I'll find out if I feel the same way now. |

| So that was how the story goes. i really like it imo. how they just cut the last scene in the episode 2 then just put flashback in this episode. and i bet this will be a long flashback cause this flashback will be playing a very important roles in the story. i feel kinda happy and weird at the same times seeing Yomi and Kagua were acting like best friends in this episode. i'm so curious what makes her turn into something like in episode 1 and 2. i just can't wait to watch the next episode xD |

| And the cast lived!! Time to wind it down with a background episode. At least it wasn't a shower scene or dream explanation. Meanwhile, I still don't want to live in anime Tokyo.....way too much creature destruction going on there. |

| The design of the lips on some of the characters looks weird to me. It makes them look like Seth MacFarlane characters. Kagura got thrown into the SDCD right off the bat. Must be expected to learn on the job, because she's a regular schoolgirl at this point. |
