| Great start! I'm already hooked. Loving the abstract pallete used in this. So I guess Chisa Kotegawa has uploaded her soul to this network called the Wired and thus she's sending mails to all her classmates for some reason. And Lain's able to see her soul. I'm confused about when Lain saw the girl on the train tracks die. Was it a vision of the future or was it something of the past? Lain's father's face when he stared into the screen was unsettling. |

| Ok, finally starting this anime!! For some ostensible reasons, people consider this anime is as complexity and confusing. As a psychological theme sucker. Skipping this is out of the question. So far so eerie. |

| A decent prologue episode, I thought it will be heavily dialogues and confusing as Stein;Gate level but it seems not. The atmosphere is very unusual and surreal, provoking a trembling and creepy feeling, the concept of dead human living in a virtual world also very unique and interesting. 3/5 |

| First time watching serial experiments lain. One little thing that i liked at least was the little bit of code on the chalkboard. In anime in general, its normally stuff like math, english, science and other topics being taught in class. Being a computer science student, it made me a little happy to see some code on the chalkboard despite it being a little. And considering the topic of the show, makes sense. Like many other peoples reactions, this was an interesting ep. I liked several of the shots they had like the fog and the blood on the wires. I didnt know if those were like network wires meaning some omen dealing with the internet. Thought music was nice from the ep as well as the shadows with the 'blood' spray in them. I will say the animation looks kinda average. Like when we see chisato walking past lain. One moment, she is there. The next second, its like the animator just Deleted her from the frame. No sort of transition, just instant delete. This prolly was meant to be on purpose tbf tho. Will be curious as to what happens next i guess. Wish me luck. |

| the first episode is a slowburn. It really digs deep around technical aspects of the world, so i was just observing. Couldn't really get too much out of the show but it seems quite distorting. I really like the style of animation. Am watching more |
