| Nice part, but how will it end? New girl who looks like a stalker. Again not many dialogues. All 3 of them are loners and it looks like their lives are empty, sad and boring :/ Sad slow music and all this makes me sad even more than first part... |

| I liked episode 2. I admire Kanae's effort to wait for Tataki and go home with him. Tataki was really kind, but he always looked beyond... The dreams Tataki had that included Akari...Tataki missed Akari and wanted to be with her, but she wasn't by his side. Tataki really wanted his relationship with Akari to work out, but their distance made it so difficult. And Tataki never really looked at Kanae... I like Kanae's mature decision to not confess her feelings to Tataki. Overall, this episode was bittersweet. |

| Oh, so this is about Takaki's life, seen through different perspectives and "love stories"? Promising. This part was nice, but mostly because it looked at that period where you are expected to take decisions affecting your subsequent life and thanks to Akane's realization and reaction. 4/5 (after a 3/5 for the first chapter) Probably a future 6to7 Also, the pictures are quite lovely, mainly thanks to the blend of simplicity (chara-designs), details (environments) and (at times overexaggerated) digital lighting effects. But where are those beautiful animations everyone cries about? It's not horribly static (it's a movie after all) but nothing struck me. |

| I'm glad she didn't confess to him. His heart already belongs to Akari and he'd go the distance for her just as she would wait for him. The only time I think it would be okay for Sumida to go after Takaki is if he and Akari fell apart and couldn't last forever. THEN she can tell him she loves him. I just don't think it's right if she barged in his love life like that just because she's able to be next to him. If he could love Sumida, then he would've fallen for her and noticed the little things, letting go of his first love. But as she knew, he was always looking off beyond her-- searching for Akari. Sumida doesn't stand a chance. You can tell from the first scene where they pick drinks. Takaki didn't even wait for her indecisive self. He said "I'll be outside." That shows he sees her as only a friend. And when her bike broke down, he didn't let her get on the back of his bike, holding onto his waist. They walked. |

| Unrequited love always hurts so bad to watch. I wonder if that is for the same reason that we often root for the underdog when watching a fight. |

| Story 2: Cosmonaut Sumida had a crush on Tohno for so long but he was never looking for her. Tohno still had Akari on his mind all this time. Sometimes, you just aren't able to confess. Sometimes you just have to accept the way things are. Maybe they just aren't meant for you. This felt incomplete as this was a pretty much-unrequitted love but I kinda relate to this. I mean most of us would be able to relate. Pretty sure not everyone is able to confess to their crush nor does everyone's crush reciprocate the same feelings as them. Love is tough. |

| Compared to the first one, this one felt a little bit slower but the build up felt more rewarding, overall I don't know if it was that outstanding as it seems to be asides from the rocket part and whole home nostalgia vibe |
| On this Chapter 2, what was the point of making it such a big timeskip, when I think they were now seniors in High School. And it would have been nice if the anime had shown us what the female MC was doing. And the girl in this Chapter 2 was cuter than the female MC. I did like the country/beach setting. |
