| Great episode. Although I'm making sure after each episode to check the chapters it covers since they censor the deaths of the monsters in the anime. |

| It only feels rushed because they are trying to get through the material the OVAs covered as quickly as possible without missing out the important details. But I agree that the manga is superior, mainly because censorship pisses me off. |
| It could be a bit better with no censorship, but considering it airs somewhere around 9 am for them i think. Mostly young kids watch at that time, and well, showing them blood could be bad. |

| It isn't to do with the timeslot. Dragon Ball Kai previously held the timeslot before Toriko, and that had plenty of blood. One Piece also airs 30 minutes after Toriko, with plenty of blood. Having no blood in Toriko is not to do with the timeslot, but rather selective bullshit on Toei's part to turn Toriko into another Pokemon. |

| I read the first few chapters of the manga and they were infinitely better than the first episodes of toriko I'd seen with the same material and I don't even read manga much lol. Having said that this was by FAR the best episode so far(not counting torikoxonepiece), the first 2 were terrible, the 3rd was bearable but this one was great. |
| Honestly speaking, I thought the crossover was the worst episode, and I'm a huge One Piece fanboy. I also thought the previous episode was better than this one, but this episode was still very good. Of all the mini-arcs at the start of the series, this Puffer Whale one is probably the best. It's all uphill from here anyways. |

| Coco also caught my interest initially, I think he is definitely a character that will appeal more to females -- especially considering there isn't many bishounen characters in the series. |

| I'm really liking the introduction and usage of abilities right now. Coco has a flashy but interesting poison gimmick, and Toriko seems like he'll be fun no matter what situation he's put into. This show also has a fantastic soundtrack on all fronts. Does a good job of heightening the mood. |
