Damn. The ending of every episode just leaves me with so many questions. And I love being stuck to it! :D
I wonder why Krisu ran away e.e Did she figure out that she's gonna die soon? e.e
And that guy hacked into SERN (Or in reality, CERN). My God, he should BE at CERN! *~*
Human is dead, eh? Now that's something to find out!
Next episode! :D

I got even more confused.

So.... because Kurisu was stabbed and Okarin send a message to Itaru while connected to the microwave somehow made the event of something that led to Kurisu's death changes.

Also because of that, Titor never went to 2000 and never gotten big. Just how? And why?

Soo, if I get this straight... by sending the message to Daru's phone that was connected to the magic microwave, it seems like Okabe unknowingly managed to time travel and ended up in an alternate timeline where the events that led to the sending of this message never took place (and where, among other things, John Titor never visited year 2000: why? we'll prolly know later). Which might explain why he can't find it on his phone anymore, or why Kurisu is still alive and no one but him seem to remember/know about the events of the timeline he's originally coming from.

Mere speculation here, but I like where the story is going. Oh and every second where Kurisu and Okabe are both on screen is gold.

The SERN hacking seemed a bit too easy tho, but I can overlook that I guess: it's not like hacking is the main focus of the show, after all.
So yeah, all in all another good episode.

ps: I know that may sound weird to ask, but is Mayuri suffering from some very mild form of mental retardation? From her mannerisms, her manner of speech and even her difficulty to count, it seems so. Not saying she's a full on retard, just that she appears to be a lot bit slower than your average person.

To be precise, the one who really did travel to the past was the text message. Okabe just travelled to another world line.

(Rewatching)
What I still didn't get is why the banana went back to the group, I was hoping they would explain it on this episode...

But did Okabe say that he wanted to know what would happen if something was put in there while the plate was rotating backwards?
Does this mean the banana was putted in the microwave when its plate was rotating with its right verse?

The fact that that esperiment didn't change the convergence number means that it wasn't a full-fledged time-travel?
But the next experiment, in which they confirmed that text messages can be sent into the past, seems to point out that not always world lines shuffle. So, the changes in world lines are a thing depending on how important the text message is and how much back in time it is sent?

@Nostalgia Yeah, by reading your comment I realised my speculation was a bit off: even though the world around Okabe seems to have entirely been rewritten, his text is indeed the only element that effectively went back in time.

Ahhh, some of the gaps of information in my mind are beginning to fill. I'm sure that Titor has actually been to the year 2000, however, his memories have been erased in this timeline. Especially since there were only 12 results that came up with his name, in this universe, he only recently began to achieve notability.

Of course, this is a theory. I'm speculating.

bringing up the banana bit again this time its even better lol. guessing mayuri is not to bright. Like really an airhead. It also seems the time travel stuff may not be as safe with the whole human is dead thing. The extra explanation of time travel is a bit odd as i believe they we got the point from last time only thing new added was those events from other time lines would be erased in the one your in.

Also seems like they are going with the parallel dimension route. Where changing the past doesint really reset it. Instead just makes another time line.

As it was already told by this episode, in S;G "World Lines" are not exactly parallel dimensions or worlds. All world lines exist only hypothetically, there is only 1 world that is rebuilded and memories of all people are changed when World Line is changed, out Okabe just can fully save his memories during that process.

This is all what you need to know by now without spoilers :)

If thats the case why say something along the line of time is not one line like many people think, but infact multiple. That sounds like different time lines with just some differences. If thats not the case then time in this anime does run on one time line.

Basically this episode is:

50% continuation of gel-nana experiment and mail experiment + 50% hacking SERN...

Well.. I don't hate the slice-of-life portions.. they're like a breather amidst the building tension..

I'm just confused.. why did the Phone Microwave (name subject to change) suddenly seemed so heavy that it pushed through everything below it down to the floor..
If this is something explained or at least implied for the viewers to know at this point then it's not spoilers... care to help?

Rewatching for the 4th time.

Error. Human is dead, mismatch.

This phrase gave me even more chills than the first time I read it...

PD: The ED is as wonderful as the first time I listened to it. Pure epicness.

I'm not big on science but maybe it was caused by the sudden release of the mini black hole's density as Mayushi opened the microwave. That was that caused the lighting and the damage to the desk as a microwave in it's own is not able to do such damage. As mini black holes evaporate so easily, being exposed to the environment made it react that way but it evaporated almost instantly and that's why the reaction only lasted for so little time.

Time machine using a Phone Microwave (name subject to change)... Interesting.

Isn't the thing about LHC being able to create mini-blackhole a 'possibility' instead of just a rumour? And even if they do, the black-holes are bound to evaporate due to not having enough mass to sustain themselves. Ah, but in this story, SERN (not CERN) is able to create mini-blackholes but the information regarding it is redacted.

Well anyway, the title of 'Super Hacker' for Daru is fitting, since he's able to hack into SERN's employees' emails

Kurisu-TIIIINA ends up being lab member 004! This is exciting!

Please take everything below as a joke

That's two G Gundam references in two episodes...

Training in the Guiana Highlands and now "Shining Finger" ... no way that was a coincidence...

Anyway, that's 3 episodes in a row, I need a break. I'm starting to get confused again. Maybe it's me, but what really got me was now the internet is talking about Titor and he gave Okabe his email?
I thought he no longer existed, so did it change again, or what happened there?
I must've missed something. Oh well. We'll see later on, I guess.

I give this one a 3/5; probably my least favorite thus far. Kinda losing me, so we'll see if it can salvage it. I'm getting less optimistic the more I read here though; it seems convoluted; someone even compared it to Lost. Yikes. I sure hope not.
It seems a little smarter than simply 'creating mystery boxes to intrigue and then actually figuring out the logic afterwards" Lost mindset. I don't know what to think.

I just know I'm through for tonight. 3 episodes was a lot to start off with.

Life can be cruel and unfair. At worst it can traumatize and cripple you. The desire for wanting things to return to the way they were can cost everything and changes nothing. The best way is to keep moving forward, struggle on.
Anger can be powerful but can only get you so far. Let people into your life even if some of them leave you in time.

Fight. Like. Hell. For everything and everyone you love. Always.

Quite a lot of people seem to be saying that they are losing interest but I seem to be enjoying it more and more! Maybe because I limit myself to the amount of episodes I watch a day due to classes I feel more excited to see the next episode?

Anyway, this episode is probably my favourite thus far because of the funny interactions between the characters, Daru being SUPAH HAKAH, and the cliff hanger at the end!

Can't wait to see more episodes!

Daru hacked into SER and got some information about the ''Z-program'' and the blackhole. ''A person dead?'' maybe because they tried to send him back in time.
Well, this is really interesting. Curious where our red haired girl ran off to lol. Is she coming back or is she already in America xD?

cool episode

the development and experimentation of the time machine is something I loved.

I'm really liking the big guy, he's a very funny character, I'm liking the makime too

and makime, the big one and the okarin interacting at the beginning and something fantastic

this business ai the company creating a fucking black hole is absurdly absurd

Makise and okabe interaction is great back and forth is always has been one of the few reason why a certain shows is my favorite like monogatari and oregairu etc. So glad this series also has that element in it

Also i just noticed the fat otako guy in this series is the same va in oregairu which was also fat and a otaku character

this was enjoyable and interesting, I liked the comedy, especially where Itaru made the subject line, calling Okarin a pervert and getting praised by Kurisu while they figured out what was going on with the Phone Microwave. The text message went back to the past, just like the other text message about the satellite crash. SERN's emails were interesting, the experiments on the LHC were actually going well, but turns out that someone died, possibly connecting back to what happened in the first episode. This is making a little more sense and I'm really liking it despite being confused. 5/5

Or perhaps you should continue since it's a mystery anime and it is normal if you don't understand what is happening in the beginning.

What exactly you don't understand so far?

Trust me, it's really easy to understand, Steins;Gate is meant to be confusing in the beginning but everything will make sense later.

For a time travel anime, I say Steins;Gate is extremely easy to understand which is interesting, if I compare Steins;Gate to another time travel series like Dark then I say Dark is a lot harder to understand, seriously, Dark was a pain in the ass to keep track on those little details but not with Steins;Gate, this one was on the easy side.

So keep watching it and you will see how everything will make sense later.
