I’m indifferent to the point of dropping it

I’ve watched 5 episodes. I understand this whole memory and body separated concept. The animation and music are great and fit the show well. However, without ever seeing anything like this I feel so indifferent and have no attachment to it. I will probably drop it, but wanted to ask it anyone else felt this way or have someone explain what other than the production quality draws you to this show?

6 eps in and will likely complete it. I like the mc's adventures meeting the side characters and their stories, the setting/world and its lore, as well as the hints of a possible main plot about the creator of these things and the inhabitants' reaction to all of these.
