| Higurashi and gang felt poorly written in motive of wanting to commit mass murder. Bea really went a long way with that water wheel. Good thing she didnt have to go up hill. so it was just hemorrhoids huh Too bad there was such a long delay in production. Kind of messed up my viewing experience since i was watching along the way as episodes aired. I guess people that put it off get to have better experience. |
| Really feels like the show died out. Strong start; all aboard the hype train; riding on the momentum; production stop; some time later a few more releases. In the end it was still enjoyable, but the production stop really killed off any hype still remaining after the first (few) episodes. Was hoping to be able to rate it higher than an 8, but I guess it's staying that way. |

| Well after three months I can finally finish this anime. They really kept it completely lighthearted to the end. They're were no consequences for anyone in the village and it's going to be perfectly rebuilt with the zombies once again sealed out. I'd say the only time the series got grim was when those woman in the grocery store all got turned. Anyway I still don't think the series can go and make me try to feel sympathy for the neet who literally tried to murder everyone in the village by letting zombies in... But whatever the lighthearted tone works for this goofy series. |

| So the last three kinda of blended into one for me since I watched 10 one night, and then 11&12 the following night...after such long a wait. I didn't feel bad for that shaggy haired evil list dude or any of his cronies at all. Close to exploring the reality of a lot of zombie fiction in that the real monsters are always other reprehensible humans. I wanted to see them all get their karma, with horrible deaths after exposing the village to all those zombies. But I guess Zom tries to be way too wholesome and upbeat for any of that, the tone of the show is fine and work as is...so I guess I shouldn't expect too much of it. The break definitely hurt the momentum this series had, I was really enjoying it then the ending just kind meh after all that time, but I had heard that as the general response to the manga too. That it starts strong and then kind of tapers off. I feel like we're almost assured a S2 tho right? After the success of this adaptation. I'm defo invested enough to stick with it and give s2 a shot when it eventually airs, and make my own mind up on that when it does. |

| some episodes have fantastic visuals while others look just fine, it has some funny moments an the main cast is fun, unfortunatelly the anime peaks on its first episode 6/10 |

| Before watching the final 3 episodes I rewatched the first and 9th episodes and read the mini synopsis of the other episodes to refresh my memory. It was fitting to have the delay occur right after Akira got to his childhood village and have the final 3 episodes focus on that area. Regarding Higurashi, karma caught up to him and he ended up turning into a zombie. When Akira came out looking like a zombie I figured that it was makeup since the transition to become a zombie takes longer than what Akira took. About Akira's dad I at first thought he got a bacterial infection of tetanus since it looked like he was bleeding due to a cut from a gardening tool but it ended up being hemorrhoids. I ended up enjoying this story and ride, in particular I really liked the character designs and animation but it was a shame that BUG FILMS got in over their heads with needing delays. If they end up continuing this series I hope they take extra time prior to announcing a release date to reduce the chance of delays when airing. 8/10 |
| Despite all of the production flaws and hiccups, this really was a solid show from start to finish. It's an 8/10 for me. I got everything I wanted out of it. The characters were great, solid plot progression, good humor. If some kind soul would like to drop the manga chapter to start from, it would be appreciated. Definitely want to see where this goes from here. |

| For Higurashi, he's had quite the young life, but his introvert nature basically shelled himself off, and as much as he tried to improve himself in college, none beats how he can't understand how Akira could have not a single care in the world, and still have fun. Turns out, the bite mark that he had earlier, there is no cure for it, but his dad's last words to him to save humanity, this is something that he would be proud to see his son achieve more out of life. Despite that, Akira chose to be a zombie...by disguise, thanks to the ladies giving him a zombie cosplay that gives him the edge. But still, this does not account that the zombies are still on their trail. Sure, Higurashi could've reached out to him earlier, but he ultimately chose to give up his life after being infected by a zombie. With everyone out, Beatrix is the only way out with her water wheel breaking through the electrical fence, but not before the suspension bridge which had ceased to exist. Thankfully, Kumano was there to save them out of trouble, with Akira and Kencho taking their biggest leap of faith to the other side, relieving everyone and the girls. Most importantly, with Kumano's help, the Gunma village is slowly restored, thanks to Akira and Co.'s undying spirit, and Akira's dad suffering from hemorrhoids, thankfully it's not as life-threatening as it sounds. Whew, danger averted. The new added bucket list: Akira to save humanity; Kencho to become the best comedian; Shizuka to become a doctor; Beatrix to restore Japan to its former self, those are aspirations shared by all, plus countless dreams that add up more. With that and food packed for the quad, travelling the country's the next order. Undoubtedly, one of the best anime of 2023, held back by the heft of production delays and problems that I cannot give this a perfect score. |

| I loved it overall so I'm going with a 10 rating, but I was tempted to go lower because I felt those last three episodes weren't worth waiting 3 months for. The show started off great but I didn't enjoy the village story line as much as I did the rest of the show. |
| Kencho's a mad lad jumping head first into manure. Loved seeing the different people they helped coming in clutch. End credits the married couple survived and are putting up a fight! Hope to see more of Akira and the gang's adventures. |

| Higurashi and his 3 idiot friends died and the village is undergoing reconstruction, all is good. I really like the theme of this show, it's zombie survival but it doesn't take itself too seriously and honestly I like it that it's light-hearted slice of life kinda way 7 |

| Nah... didn't like it. Too absurd. IMO biggest joke is the anime itself, not the jokes in the anime. Maybe the biggest factor I'm is how we have dudes having fun while millions of people die and the world collapses. And now we're apparently switching to "saving the world" while having fun... Naaaaaaaaaaaaah. |
| This anime was a pure moment of happiness. Fun, good feeling, with nice characters and plot, definitively my favorite of 2023. |
