There is nothing wrong with the ending. I personally don't like Taiga Ryuji ship but any ending other than that will ruin the character developments.

I think it’s perfect as it is. The animation itself was also pretty good, considering its age. Personally, would have wished one last episode to show post-official couple life. If they’re going to make something new, maybe a movie outlining the time-skip, or something after adulting. The PSP game did show that Taiga was pregnant after all.

A remake? I don’t think it would be necessary. The original animation isn’t and fits the year the panini was set in.

I’d be nice to see a small continuation, like an OVA. But so much time as passed, I don’t believe it would be a good fit.

I personally like all of the characters and despite the original ending being probably the best one that would happen I would be interested in seeing how the other 2 girls endings would play out

I don't think that's the problem, he probably (like me) doesn't like him ending up with Taiga. Personally though even though I don't like it I don't think it needs a new ending

As much as I want to say yes, because I was not entirely pleased with the ending, the rest of the show is gold and shouldn’t be messed with.

Why would it need a new ending do the anime and manga have different endings? I wouldn't mind a remake i honestly enjoyed the show.

This trend of debate over remakes is kind of silly honestly, granted changes to the art style like Fruits Basket did well but most anime’s are fine where they are regardless of how good or bad people think they are already.

It’s probably worth waiting a decade or two, doesn’t seem necessary right now.

It doesn’t have any major issues that could be resolved in a remake, really.

It’s possible animation production will be different enough in a few decades to justify a remake with a new art style, sort of like Urusei Yatsura, but it’s too early for that now.

if I remember correctly she's leaves him/changed school for some reason and in last minute of the show they meet each other again. it's was kinda meh but meybe because of this I remember this old goodie so good.

I wouldn’t mind additional content but I think the ending itself is fine. They were always building towards Tagia and Ryuuji getting together and though aspects of it were rushed, the end result was satisfying.

Ending is fine though. Rest of the drama and stuff is where it didn't feel that good.
If you enjoyed the time you wasted, then its not a waste of time.

Taiga comes out of a locker (I don't remember why she was in there) after having left for a year (or however long it was), Ryuuji confesses his love for her, and it basically just gives a happy ending to the show.

But apparently there's some people who never saw the post credit scene, so they just thought the show ended with Taiga leaving.
