Best Sao season?

Season 4-part 1-good,part 2-okk?
Season 3-F*CK THIS IS PHENOMENAL
For me this season was most entertaining till the end unlike other seasons and I didn't get bored anywhere.

what's your opinion?

The premise was dumb but after getting over that it was pretty fun. I also enjoyed S2 which is a bit of an upopular opinion to hold.

unpopular opinion s2 also pretty good. In season 2, people say arc excalibur just a filler. I won't say that, cause it's actually the essence of sao, online game rpg (virtual). To go to dungeon with your friend, I love that arc, no stress, just kirito and his friend try to beat the game.

S4 part 2 the best in my opinion.All those fights were great and I really liked watching it.It got worse towards the end tho.I also like the fact that Kirito was incapacitated for most of the season allowing for other characters to take the lead

Season 1 I liked episodes 1-2. The rest was like fine whatever. Alfheim online I just didn't like at all.
Season 2 was interesting but a lot of bullshit had to be tossed in to make the story progress which I think could've just used more imagination.
Season 3 was the best until (spoilers) Eugeo died because I enjoyed his character a lot more than Kirito. Alice is a good character too. However I do think that Kirito was better as a character than in Season 1 and 2.
War of Underworld was a doozy to get through but I really just stayed for the animation.
I enjoyed Part 1 of WoU more than Part 2, but Part 2's second half more than its first. it's just that Asuna tries to help Kirito, but ends up needing Kirito to help her again which is kinda disappointing to me. We need to see her grow more.

First half of season 1 is good - 8/10
2nd half of season 1 is pre bad - 5/10
Next 2 arcs in season 2 are 6/10
Season 3 is 9/10 one of my favourite seasons of anything ever.
Season 4 is very pretty but focussed on characters that weren’t interesting (except for Alice who is best girl imo). Still decent season tho, 7-8/10

you're right eugeo is no doubt one of the best Sao side characters and I really liked it when kirito had found a brother like friend and they embarked on a journey to save Alice..too bad that he died I wanted to see him more fr

I think season one up to the end of the game and season 3 are the best. Gun gale had a cool theme but just didn’t stand out to me. Season 4 wasn’t terrible but wasn’t something special either

I liked S1 and WoU part 2 the most. I really like the direction they're going with the show now (spoilers) with Alice coming to the real world. I wish they combined the progressive stories with the normal show instead of splitting it up into the main story around Kirito in the early seasons and then movies for everyone else. Even if it meant doing more seasons to cover each arc, just to have it all together you know? Would have helped with the character development of Asuna especially in the earlier episodes.

Although, I should say that I loved the show almost the entire way through outside of maybe the first couple episodes in S2

1-2 = great
S1 recap movie = mediocre
Ordinal Scale = good
3 = amazing
3P2 = worst part but still good
Progressive 1 = great

I view this series as like you finish a good game and it just keeps on going and never ends. I think S2 is vehemently overhated, people just don’t like change.

The right mindset when watching an anime is hoping that it will break your top 10

S2 p2 was phenomenal. Mother's Rosario (Yuuk) is the best arc imo

Honestly, my fav isnt any season. Its ggo alternative, the spin-off. I loved every second of it and I'm so happy that the second season got announced like a week ago.

Overall, the SAO series are great, but the alicization arc is the best for me.

I haven't watched the alternative gun gale yet. But after the new season, I will .

And the movies well... Maybe someday...

Aincrad arc is still my favorite arc in SAO but after it kinda fell off during the second half of season 1 and some of season 2, season 3 rly picked it back up for me and got me back into it. So Season 3 and Season 1 are tied for me

Nah tbh GGO wasn't dumb either but if u compare MOTHER'S ROSARIO (Yukki konno arc) was amazing.

Please watch Sword Art Online Progressive, it's the peak of SAO.

Alicization was by far my favorite!!! Eugeo was the best!!! Plus the opening songs were fantastic and I still play them to this day!!!

Season 1 Half - One of the best premieres followed up by a very rushed conclusion 7/10
Rest of Season 1 - 4/10
Season 2 till Ep 12 - I just couldn't get into it 2/10
Rest of Season 2 - I still count it as one of the most emotional moments I have ever seen in any anime, it actually conveyed us the biggest positive of VR or RPG Games 8/10
Season 3 - PEAK SAO
Season 4 Part 1 - Okay there are some scenes here & there which didn't make sense but it was still good
Season 4 Part 2 - WTF?

for me, the best season of SAO is only the first half of the season 1. The rest are just somehow ok. Alicization arc was a bit better. One thing that ruined this series is the harem for sure and lack of suspense. If i could put it on a rank:

1. First half of S1
2. Alicization (First half)
3. Alicization (latter part), GGO, Mother Rosario.
4. Alfheim (any arc that involved alfheim except mother rosario)

this rank doesn't include all the movies cuz you were not asking.

I watched it back then and somehow I enjoyed it more than Aincrad although in terms of everything Other seasons are way ahead but My personal feelings were different,,, it felt like a dream,, it's nostalgic and still the songs are peaceful. 🫡

Please watch Sword Art Online Progressive, it's the peak of SAO.

I prefer, what I call, the Akihiko Kyaba Arc (spelling??).
The concept of a Dev having some form of breakdown and imprisoning people in a VRMMORPG realm was an interesting idea.

It's ashame that when asked about his motivation by Kirito the answer was, in essence, I don't remember.
Though understandable if done in anger, as when anger subsides, motivations can become forgotten or don't seem as logical as they did (for example: people breaking their game controller in rage, then regretting it when they've calmed down).
Thereafter, I preferred the games such as Hollow Fragment to continue the story - though I've watched every series thereafter until lockdown.....then I may have lost track.

Specificaly on GGO Arc..

We rarely seen gun battle on anime..
Especially this GGO was like those hype game at that time (PUBG)..
It is really similar to that game..
