In the manga Esdeath is always killed by Akame, but everything happens differently, in the anime we only see Esdeath vs Akame, while in the manga we see Esdeath facing all the rebel army with Nanjenda in command, many Tegu owners, Tatsumi transformed into a dragon and Akame, the anime does not really do justice to Esdeath's power, as during the course of the manga, Esdeath had developed many other abilities, besides time freezing, such as create an army of ice soldiers, or change the climate of an entire continent, during her battle against Akame she also manages to destroy Murasame and almost defeat her despite Akame being enhanced by the poison of her teigu, the only reason why Esdeath is defeated is because she lets her guard down at a decisive moment and Akame uses that moment to deal her a fatal blow

Well oh god, actually yes, Esdeath if he uses his time freeze, it would be enough for him to pierce Goku with his sword and Goku would die, instead Akame would be enough for him to wound Goku, and the poison would kill Goku

That's right, and then the anime totally made up this Akame afterimage factor, which was just embarrassing to watch
