yeah i get that, it's too bad they don't give you a choice since it sets you back a bit. totally sucks you have to serve right after you get out of school too, can barely even catch a break first!

i see! and yeah joining the military here is optional, the only time it's ever required is if you were to get drafted in the event of a war or other national emergency, but even then it's only men that get picked, women aren't required to sign up for selective service

yeah! it's kinda nice having a block schedule since there's fewer classes to worry about which makes studying and doing homework much easier being that there's not as much information that you have to remember. our school days are 8 hours too, but each block is 1 hr and 30 mins long instead of having 8 classes with each being about 45 mins long

that's too bad you can't choose your classes! we're required to take so many classes for each subject (math, science, english, history, elective, language, etc.), but they allow us to choose what specific classes we want to take. for example, i'm currently taking earth science, but i could've chosen to do chemistry instead

lmaoo frr it's such a struggle keeping up with it, especially if i'm waiting on other manga's chapters to be published

a teacher workday is basically where the students stay home (the teachers still go into school), so the teachers can take some time to finalize grades and prepare for the upcoming quarter (we have 2 semesters, 4 quarters per semester). it's currently the 4th quarter of the first semester, so after this week we start the 2nd semester and get all new classes and teachers! (it's sort of like starting a new school year!) similar to the colleges here my school goes by something called a block schedule, so we only have 4 classes a day. we choose 8 classes when scheduling and they get divided up between the two semesters which is why we get all new classes for the 2nd semester!

i have exams in all of my current classes, those being: business law (elective), math, science, and PE, but it's split up to where we take two exams on wednesday and the other two on thursday. the way my school does exams is really odd and confusing LOL

ohh i see! it's too bad ur teacher isn't feeling well, but a total score that u don't have math today!

haha i just finished up reading a manga i found out about the other day, it's still publishing tho, so i have to wait for the next chapter unfortunately (◞‸◟；)

that's cool! not so cool you have school tho, i'm dreading going back monday since i have exams coming up later in the week, but i get a three day weekend (fri, sat, sun due to a teacher workday on friday) afterwards, so i'm thrilled about that!

i'm pretty good! i'm in the US so it's 2 am for me right now, but i haven't gone to sleep yet. i usually stay up pretty late on weekends haha
