| As the series finale, I definitely expected a lot of emotions to pour out and that's what we kinda got. It's not too different from some of the other episodes but seeing all those flashbacks felt like it made an impact. It was great to see all the relevant cast back for the finale, especially Runa. This episode also had a very sweet embrace between Akane and Yamada. It was a long time coming but one of the more important parts of this season/episode. |

| It’s tough living with the identity of the sexiest man alive. I mean girls fawn over you because you’re good-looking and… and…. AND…. exist and breathe, I guess? Though this ladies’ man is a gamer too mind you, so just for the sake of convenience and it doesn’t look plain weird, this episode had the glasses girl confess she likes a lot about Yamada which only IS NOT limited to his good looks. But hey falling for someone just because they play games a bit better than the crowd? What?? Now next time someone will say, “I like your way of watching anime, so I just fell for you hehe”... WHAT??? Anyways this just kind of makes me feel like I’m in the wrong line of work lol. Though back to the point, glasses got rejected and dude accepted he likes the elder blonde chick. This kind of made a full circle, I mean we started with drunk Akane and dude escorting her back home and we concluded it that way too. Not that it makes any difference in the quality, but hey atleast now both are aware of each other's feelings. He likes her, she likes him because.. they have nice faces. I mean falling for looks is totally understandable but atleast try to give another digestible reason too lol. Though dude scored an elder girl, I’ll give him that at the very least. Anyways, second season? Well, no thanks. |

| Tsubaki confronts Yamada about his interest in Akane and her interest in him, and other than her ranting about how she's always playing second fiddle to Akane since her arrival, it looks as if she has her pent-up feelings about Yamada for the last 3 years, all released at one go. Honestly, Tsubaki told herself that she will not regret her confession moment to him, but at the same time, feels hurt deep within her heart that Yamada's choice wasn't her, that he could not return her feelings, with the in-game character mark being very obvious on who he has an affection for. It's a sad, sad, moment for Tsubaki no less, despite her not being able to see without her glasses. She loved Yamada genuinely, and that's that, but stepped on his romantic feet one step too late to lose out to Akane. Akane being invited to the guild meeting at a BBQ restaurant (which his friend owns), and Kamota has so many connections, he feels like an entirely different person in real life. That being said, even though the guild has a private room to themselves, Kamota's connections blesses the guild with so many high-grade expensive food, he's a great supporter, both in game and in real life. And though Yamada is late, he still came to finish off the leftovers, but Akane being drunk once again...it beckons back to the very first episode where she got drunk from her heartbreak, and now because of happiness. Yamada dragging the intoxicated Akane out of the restaurant, she's just gone crazy to make trouble for him. But out of the genuineness of his heart, him helping Akane to remove her shoe's heel stuck in a groove, and despite the drunkeness, the trip to send Akane back home being intentional, but Akane's question to him, practically his feelings towards her, the answer to be repeated until she remembers that it's no longer a dream, it's reality that Yamada has finally accepted her and her whims to be in a relationship with her. AHH such a happy ending, the ship has finally sailed! A rom-com show that I immensely enjoyed a whole lot, impressive. |

| Man!!! He(Yamada-kun) smiled for the 1st time after hearing the Confession from Akane-san. Tsubaki-San's Confession like "Suki" upon Suki everything about Yamada-kun I really laughed a lot ๐๐. Drunk Akane-san at Restaurant ๐๐. After Becoming a Couple Yamada-kun Complimenting Akane-san so much that lady sitting side to Akane-san smiled ๐ |

| Well, it finally ended. To be honest i did not have high expectations for this one when it started, and as it turned out, for a good reason. Very shallow characters with non existent story (and the male main character too, lol), caricature of a female main character. Her shenanigans were mostly annoying rather than funny ... i don't know, i guess the modern shoujo just fell down this much. |

| Poor Tsubaki, well at least she got her feelings out of the way. Akane and Yamada ending up together was expected and it's nice to see they make a nice couple even if Akane got some bad advice from a friend. Well a nice ending to a nice anime. |
| Tsubaki got rejected, no surprise there. Akane x Yamada sailed which is nice. Liked how it made a full circle with drunk Akane again. Decent-ish anime overall, liked it though. It was quite bland at times and Akane x Yamada romance progression felt off. I mean for a guy who supposedly couldn't understand romantic feelings all his life it didn't take much for him to suddenly feel that way and fall for Akane. Though I liked Akane, she's a fun girl. Would probably watch if it got a second season. |

| If anything if Tsubaki wanted her first love to be a weet romantic one that Yamada isn't it. Yamada's innate calm nature turned out to be pretty useful for gaming. Tsubaki sure went all out with her confession. While it is sad to see Yamada reject her at least it was in a clear and easily understood way. If anything their group really stood out at the meal due to their ages. Kamota sure dropped a pretty large bombshell with his rank though. Those were some damm fine treats that his friends gave him though. Drunk Akane was amusing but really served to increase the impact of the confessions. Overall such an excellent ep to end the season with perhaps the best ending possible. |

| The last episode, noooooo. I don't think the manga went into so much detail about why Tsubaki liked him. I liked the dramatic crying scene lol Kamota is such a cute lil old man. She left the water bottle!! Broooo we finally got the confession its about damn time. This was such a beautiful episode. I'm about to read the whole manga again for the second time. I can't believe it's over. Ugh this was a good one. What a great way to end the first season. I really hope we get a second season. |

| Madhouse looked like they were back in their PRIME for this finale, holy shit this looked amazing. F’s in the chat for Tsubaki. She Lowkey had more personality than Akane and would’ve been a better relationship for Yamada, but such is the life of the school friend in anime. Her confession was really well done and the OST/direction during that scene was nice. I hope she ends up happy. So you mean to tell me Yamada is damn near a perfect physical specimen and had generational rizz, and still never had a girlfriend? That “I’m busted, huh” and his entire vibe during Akane’s confession was wayyyy too smooth for someone who’s never dated a girl lmao. I think that’s my big issue with the series overall is just how you have to throw all sensibility out the window to really enjoy the story since it makes no sense. Still, I did like the show. It was fun, it’s shoujo so I know there’s a certain degree of female wish fulfilment that’s going to happen. It is what it is. I’ll for sure check out the manga to see what happens with Eita and Akane friend |

| This OP is getting better every time I listen to it. There are a lot of good ones this season. Kamota is so cool and wholesome 14:55 That's probably the widest Yamada smiled his whole life. This was a nice anime. Definitely will watch more shojo in the future. 8/10 |

| everything was perfect but i am the one to believe if someone falls in love with a person first they should deserve that person but i also support mutual love so this is fine anyway i didn't realize kamota was a big shot like he doesn't look like a big shot at all also the drunk proposal was unexpected but was funny that akane didnt sleep all night |

| We need more Shoujo stories like these! Seriously, it pains me to see that we see less and less of this genre in anime format. At first, I thought this was going to follow in the footsteps of Net-juu no Susume but the show seemed to totally give up on the game characters towards its climax , lol. A lot of the transitions and color palette usage reminded me of Chihayafuru which is a banger of a series of course and having the teamwork here as well already helped get this show out to a positive start to me. Op & ED were really fun to keep up with as well. Here's to hoping for another KANA-BOON x the peggies collab because it sounds like a winning combo! Kamota-san's reputation precedes him, that was a lot of big shots there! I totally understand Eita-san's aspiration to be like him. Got to give Tsubaki-san some love too, she really went out there and give it her all despite knowing the outcome. And she might've just confirmed Yamada's attraction too, I doubt he would've figured it out that quickly otherwise. Or was it? I'm not quite sure, but judging by what Momo-san said there in the end, it's apparently not. I was quite taken aback by that, ngl. In any case, the scenes between the two right before and after becoming a couple were gold. All that blah blah for just holding hands, xD. Loved that little detail of the woman in the background seemingly chuckling while listening to their convo. All in all, I really enjoyed the series. It lost a bit of steam somewhere in the middle, I've to admit. I suppose that's about when BokuYaba started to take off so the synergy between the two really made this a fun season to keep up with as well. Solid 8/10 from here! Hoping for a Season 2 ~ A lot of shows from this season are getting this treatment and it would mean a lot if this were to as well. |

| I kinda feel bad for Yukari since she got rejected by Yamada and that she deserves better but we all knew that Yamada loves Akane. Akane and the guild are out eating and its nice to see familiar faces on the screen again, its nice that they brought the cast back for this finale. Damn i never knew that Kamota was so famous lmaoo. Yamada arrives later but when he is finally there, Akane comes all drunk, she had too much of the sake. Akane is all happy and Yamada notices that as well. Yamada gets Akane some water so that she is less drunk i suppose and they both head to home hand in hand. Akane's heel gets stuck into the pavement so Yamada helps her out and they walk hand in hand towards Akane's house. At the home Yamada says that he's heading home and Akane wishes him good night but when she is about to put the key into the slot she runs towards him and tells him "Do you like me?" to which Yamada says "I'm busted, huh?", but Akane is still drunk so she can't believe it. Yamada confessed his feelings right in front of her and it seems like Akane accepts that. Yamada said that he would call/say everyday to her that he likes her since Akane is kinda drunk still. The hug was cute as well, they really fit together as a couple. The next day he actually calls her and it looks like they are back at school. Momoko is still single amongst them but I'm sure her time will come also. What an amazing finale. I hope for a season 2.  |

| I really enjoyed this series; it made me feel warm and fuzzy and the manga is sweet as well. It was a little slow to build but it's pretty faithful to the manga and I'm fine with it since I know what's gonna happen down the road. So hoping for a second season because this first season was the adaptation of the chapters for how they met, the buildup of their feelings and how they get together. While the second season would be based on the chapters of them actually as a couple and growing, the issues they face together... and some spiciness between them is to come! <3. Overall happy with the show, fingers crossed for more! |

| Akane getting drunk? Yamada giving Akane her shoe back? This is episode 1 all over again xD (I almost thought Akane would even invite Yamada over at the very end there lol) Also are we sure Kamota is just an ordinary strawberry seller????? That aside, I kinda feel bad for Tsubaki but Im glad that she was able to get everything off her chest and that Yamada gave her a proper reply. But more importantly, this entire time I was certain Akane would confess to Yamada, not the other way around!?!?! This was such a welcome surprise to me and has got to be my favourite confession in all of anime!! It was not your typical cliche, instead it was imperfect and casual and even needed to be reaffirmed the next day xD Honestly, this seemed more like something that could actually play out irl! Also the girls talk at the end there was too funny xD Momo and Akane got slaughtered by their friend lol Can we get a season 2 now where Momo and Eita get together? xD |

| It was amazing, my favorite anime of the year, really loved it a lot. Akane is my favorite character, but I also really liked Runa and Tsubaki, Yamada is a great character as well, in fact the whole cast is. I really liked the romance as well, I'm really glad she didn't confess first(in fact she never did on screen at least). It was nice to see a change and have her ask him if he likes her, I don't remember if I ever saw that before. Felt bad for Tsubaki, she seemed to really like him as well, she'd be a perfect waifu for him. Glad that she mustered up the courage to tell him anyway, she looked really beautifully animated in that scene, without glasses, with tears in her eyes. One thing I didn't understand was the title, in the beginning I thought that this story is about Akane conquering Yamada and lvl 999 is how tough of a boss he is. |

(Well Yamada's "I've been busted huh?" comment felt like a total SLAPINDAFACE to me personally...) I'm hoping there is a season 2 but....even though the source material is still ongoing that last ep was pretty conclusive... |

| Them getting together in the end wasn't surprising. The prez getting rejected and then just staying out of it does make it feel like she was forced into the story to begin with but glad how this episode ended. Even after more than 2 decades, love to see Morio Asaka's still got it, trying to create a beautiful adaptation with very limited resources. Not expecting any S2 announcement soon, the team has Cardcaptor sequel to make unless that goes straight into Kotono Watanabe's separate team. There's also more Chihayafuru to make, I would rather have them make that than this but wouldn't mind if this gets a sequel. |

| Fun little show, but I can't help to think at times it was too slow in terms of delivering content. There's also the last quarter introducing Tsubaki. Kinda feels a bit hollow that her only role was to be in love with the surface level Yamada. She liked him because he was a good gamer that didn't rage when he lost? Or because he looked good when he was spacing out on the classroom window, or the way he walks and talks in an abbreviate manner. I don't hate her, but the show spent way too much time trying to portray her as some damsel in distress that needed an attaboy from the audience. Akane was the driving force of the series, at least for me. Her being kinda clueless a lot of the times along with her enthusiastic self was a joy to watch. Although it makes me wonder what ever happened with petty Akane from the first episodes after the breakup with Takuma. This is for me a high 6, rounded up to 7/10 |
