I read that multiple times and I still don't get what you mean. Who's strong enough monsters to fight the main cast? You mean we haven't seen any monsters strong enough for this main cast? Maybe, but these monsters were defeated with zero effort. There was zero tension in this episode for that reason. Despite these characters never fighting something like these titans, they had zero problems ripping them apart with their bare hands dude. I don't have a problem with them being OP, but this felt kinda silly. It doesn't feel consistent. And you're telling me I have to wait for a second season for them to face a real challenge? I'm sorry but that sounds terrible lol This has potential, but it has it's problems too. Did I start excited? Yes. I was very excited for this after I saw that first episode. But it's got some problems that I've noticed just from watching up to this point. It's honestly to the point where the more I think about this show's flaws, the worse they get. Sorry but that's my take on this show as of now. I think I'd rather read the manga |

In terms of the animation, it's alright, but it's clearly the product of a rushed production, which is just trying its hardest to "finish the assignment". Again, the "fix" for mediocre writing is by giving the viewers fan service, in Yuzuriha, so they forget about the writing, but for now, it's not enough to really get me invested. The backstories for the characters also weren't executed well, I really am not enjoying them introducing characters through backstories, and not waiting until further in the show to do them. |

Am I supposed to feel intimidated or impressed by these worthless monster mobs? I feel that Even Gegege Kitarou (a child's series) had better designs and color use that made the folktale monster more impressive and macabre. I didn't have any hopes for Sagiri since episode 1, but after every single episode it just reinforces my theory that she's going to be just another useless Sakura whose role is there to inspire the main male protagonist and arouse the horny weebs with the same recycled nude cutscenes. I acknowledge that nothing is original these days, but come on... Choubei & Toma are straight out ripoffs from Saint Seiya, sad orphans with a brash tsundere Ikki and the frail afeminate Shun. Tamiya is probably the only character worth of my attention so far, at least his backstory isn't based on a sad sob story of misery or pitty, but on arrogance and self respect. Seconded by Yuzuriha, but that's mostly Rieri's acting and not Yuki Kaku's writing. |

| I don't feel like the animation is serving the story as well as it could. It just feels kind of fluffy and shonen and the story is rather harrowing and dark. It's not unwatchable, but I just don't really feel a lot of impact when watching the episode. This also may have something to do with the fact that all the monster are getting mowed down in droves. All in all, I am willing to keep watching the show but I am less excited about the show now then when I started. |

| Monsters were underwhelming but I'm pretty sure that they are just some random ones. This anime feels like an inferior version of Basilisk. poemofdevil said: Does this ever get good? Salmon-guy is probably one of the worst I've seen the past year. |

| The last half of the episode was kinda sad, poor kids at least they're badasses now. This episode gave me attack on Titan vibes with all the wanna be titans. |
