I believe this is the most badass fight animation around 2000. While the manga said filled with comedy, the prequel so intense like this, somehow the prequel looks better than actual story

this first episode is often reviewed as garbage, the structure and the story telling is completely messed up, in a way that is not only confused but also illogical and silly.
You can see few scenes (motorcycle jump..) that fights every law of physics (standard trash Anime)
The first graphical impact is also ruined and the first interaction with monsters was so mechanical that breaks the feeling of a real apocalypse.

And the rest of the series is a mix between the garbage left from the first episode and some choices worthy of a 10/10 Masterpiece, which is crazy to realize and are definitely worth the time

I did enjoy Ga-Rei-Zero a lot.

structure i didn't mind, but i admit it is unusual

3d art was great for the time. i don't see any issue, when comparing to others 2008 anime.

opening was a banger

story was good
