You know what would make it more interesting, if the brother comes back, turns out to be gay, finds similar interests with Kosuda (ergo photography) and falls in love with Kosuda. So far it's been an average anime for me (mainly because I find Yamada a bit irritating, though she has a couple of funny moments (usually when the other characters comment on her personality)), but if they do that it will instantly get better quite a bit for me. Also Kanejou's laugh is extremely bad executed. |

| I was actually looking forward to Kanejou caming in the picture. She is a much better rival to Yamada than that shy Miyano. I love it when two narcissistic girls fight. Expect a lot of fun after this. The battle between the tiger (Yamada) and the dragon (Kanejou) has just begun. To the people who can't see the relationship between Kanejou's brother and the school, it actually makes sense, because her family is used to taking over everything, and thus she feels it is her duty to be the one queen there, showing her brother that she has lived up to the family name. Also, as someone asked, Yamada's given name is witheld at the moment, even in the publishing manga, which exceeds 100 chapters. An idiot that reviewed the anime called her Kei for some reason (the title?), but I doubt it is true. (He was being negative about the entire story, calling it "borderline-hentai," which is not true, especially in the middle episodes.) Fun fact: There were threatening letters sent to the makers of B Gata H Kei when it first aired, possibly because of its somewhat risque content. American professional reviewers had mixed opinions about this title. |

| Kyouka's reasoning makes perfect sense given what we know about her. She mentioned that both her brother and her family in general is always the best at whatever they do. Kyouka herself also was always the best at whatever she did. Except once - she lost against Yamada in the beauty contest. Regarding her brother, she clearly thinks that he will see how well she did and acknowledge it accordingly. Either she thinks he is in love with her anyways, or she hopes it goes along the lines of "you did impress me,uis there anything i can do for you in exchange?" Failing to live up to the expectations would mean she failed to get her revenge and more importantly, she would have failed her family. And it would defintively not impres her brother.. Whether he is what she thinks of him is something completely else. |
