| So did they end together in episode 6? From the way I see it, kiss (whether directly or indirectly) plays some important part in FLCL. When Mamimi offers Naota a soda can, he refuses in the first time, but accepts in the second. The latter time being in the middle of his "growing up" moment. I see this as the refuse and disgust kids feel, regarding sharing/interacting with the opposite sex; which changes later. In the final scene, Eri offers Naota a soda bottle (the boy now with a proper uniform and wearing pants for the first time, instead of his "kiddy" shorts). The camera shows the whole town right after. Could this be a clue to the possibility that he will accept her "advance" (and therefore start a new circle)? The drink offering being common on teenagers in the anime, and her sharing depicting her change of mind. |
