Ami Kawashima. This character did a complete 180 for me. Started off hating her guts but by the end I absolutely adored her. Despite how she portrays herself she has a lot of love for her friends and isn’t afraid to make herself the bad guy to make them realize their mistakes.

ami because personally my favorite archetype is the girl love interest who seems shallow and mean has more depth to her.

also I used to be obsessed with taiga when I was younger but I couldn't even get through the first episode when I rewatched because she's just so mean.

If we are talking strictly about anime plot, then my vote goes for Taiga. She makes the anime interesting, and enjoyable. When we are talking about actual personal preference, I'm going for Minori. She's cheerful, helpful, genuinely concerned about the people, and generally a good friend. Taiga isn't a really great person to be around, considering her personality traits.

Ami supremacy, I mean yeah Taiga's cute and all but Ami's the real deal. Perfect mix of childish, mature, fun, devious, cunning and dumb :) Gotta get into those light novels (if they haven't adapted the whole story in the anime)
