| The weight of the action and the faces are selling me on the manga right now. Good stuff, and a great introductory fight overall for these first chapters. I also like how vaguely tied to reality everything is. The fighting itself is being illustrated in a way where it appears insanely over-the-top and unrealistic, but the characters are still using real fighting styles or moves. The inclusion and seeming importance of the crowd, referee, and commentators also are a part of this. Perhaps that's not so unique, but it meshes very well with everything else going on. |
