Will there ever be an season 2?

Since the anime adapted only 4 volumes of the source material Koten-bu series which has a total of 6 volume and an upcoming 7th volume will there ever be an season 2.

hopefully kyoani will be able to one day though the chances of it happening seem pretty unlikely

i think it's underrated outside of Japan or People who are into the Anime Culture. Unfortunately i don't have a lot of evidence supporting that.

The future is unpredictable, who would've thought that a studio like KyoAni would have to face such a tragic incident in 2019. I don't know but I wish this receives a second season.

This anime is a high school anime with a slight mystery in it. It has a little bit of drama. Even Oregairu gave me more drama but mc is good. If there was something different like this, then I would definitely say underrated, but I can understand why it's underrated in Japan. Newly released anime are usually terrible. (Except Eighty Six and Vivy). The Japanese love Ecchi and Harem, so I wish something like this would happen.

Volume 7 going to release at the year 2050, then 50 more years for volume 8. Maybe we have hope for a 2nd season at the year 2101 then?

The ending was good enough, i dont think it will get a second season. And when the author is an energy conserver like Oreki, it might take forever to even have enough source materials lol

It's highly unlikely. Even if it does happen it probably won't be from KyoAni. They don't really deal with Kadokawa much anymore.
