Sao 2 has a better story and characters, backstories and sad moments, a finale and everything else. How Mother Rosario is the best art in sao not rated at all and sao 2 is better than everyone in sao s1 and sao s1 is the best part of all seasons lol

The thing is in case of SAO, the season is not considered as different seasons, instead it is divided into different arcs.
My favourite arcs in their respective orders will be:
1. Aincrad Arc (Personal Best)
2. Alicization
3. Mother's Rosario
4. Phantom Bullet
5. War of Underworld
6. Fairy Dance (Personal Worst)
I neither movie arcs in these, nor the Calibur Arc as I just find it too short and insignificant to be included in this list.

well yes, you are right. But s1 had Aincrad arc, which isn't actually the best in terms of everything you said, but it's an original concept. So almost everyone liked it, and s2 actually got many things and even Mother's Rosario, but according to many people they found the Phantom Bullet Arc boring although it wasn't. And the second part is just 2 side stories i.e., Caliber and Mother's Rosario (best)

Please watch Sword Art Online Progressive, it's the peak of SAO.

Most Of people says that Alicization is the best thing from SAO, I don't see things in that way, it was entertaining but far from being a Masterpiece; on the other hand, SAO S2 for me is the best season and the best of SAO lies there.

Assuming sao 1 implies season 1, which consists of the following main arcs:
-Aincrad
-Fairy Dance
likewise for sao 2:
-Phantom Bullet
-Excalibur
-Mothers Rosario

In my opinion, Ordinal Scale, Alicization, and The Progressive Series are all better than s1, when taking both arcs in to consideration; moreover, it’s almost agreed by public opinion that season 2 is the worst season of sao.

Every SAO season is different and unique. All the characters and battles they add just put more emphasis on why SAO is so popular. If we honestly had to rank in statistically it would be like this.

- Sword Art Online: Alicization

- Sword Art Online: War of the Underworld

- Sword Art Online (S1)

- Sword Art Online (S2)
