That tank reminds me of Metal Slug, shame we don't get that quality animation so often now.

I don't think this will have much of a story depending on what people expect givin that this is about anime and wanting to make one so it will be informative so it will most likely turn People off

I love this show so much already. It's so inspiring and a must see for any artists. The sheer amount of creativity on display. The characters. The writing. The scenarios. Seeing their ideas play out and slowly be animated. I said this after episode 1 but this is an easy contender for anime of the season.

Chunibyo is really full of imagination, their friendship is so cute.. they go along with each other's idea as if it's a reality :)

At first, I don't like Kanamori because she looks weird.. but now, I love her personality! haha

Not as good as episode one or two, but still a great episode! As someone who eventually wants to go into the anime business, the last scene was REALLY exciting and gave me another incredible reminder about why I love animation!!

It's so far excelled at presentation but it was lacking in the first half of the ep, they made up for it later on though.

Starting it out, the trio definitely must set some house rules. And out of them, Kanamori's the most serious about the facelift, while Asakura and Mizusaki are still always in wonderland imagination.

Meanwhile...about the school's budget, the trio has got what have in mind, one that's not too complicated. A short film that's fully injected with Choi Eunyoung's work in it. We hear your cries, Mizusaki!

With a little bit of effort and more, a direction is made with the excellent art interpretation.

A bit distracted from the 1st half, but the 2nd half made it with the wholesome abstract art that made it feel like it came from a production set.

Nice!

God this show just makes me feel warm and happy watching it. It feels so nostalgic yet vibrant and unique at the same time. Seriously, every episode so far has just put a dumb smile on my face. Fucking loved the vibrant brainstorming sequences this ep too, getting to see Mizusaki's passion shine through so hard was lovely and then getting to see both her and Asakusa's ideas merge to create that fucking awesome yet super unique sakuga sequence at the end was fantastic.

Man I love this show.

Favorite episode so far. I especially really liked the scene with the girls exchanging ideas for their animation project. Midori and Tsubame are really into it so I'm glad Sayaka is there to keep them in check.

Their project also seems to be a bit ambitious, by the way. With only two months at disposal, I wonder how close to their initial idea the final product will look like.

I can see how it's kinda great for some, but personally this one is a bit too much out there in over dramatized_hype cartoon children (yawn) fantasy land, also not a fan of the character design.
One of those rare moments where i drop a show at ep.3 and still rate it 6/10 :D

Really enjoying the show so far, the attention to detail on the animation is crazy, goes to show how much the studio really cares. Especially during the last few minutes of the episode where machete girl takes on the tank, super cool to see rough sketched animation like that.

Man I love this show so so so much. I knew some hobbyist animators (mostly Adobe flash) back in high school and they were just as excitable and giddy about this type of stuff. It's a miracle that they could sit down to actually animate for hours on end lol.....

I watched it in spanish subs and she said "I don't want to just do ANIME. I wanna do ANIMATION" I loved it.

That's what she said in the Japanese. That's also why such an absolutely fantastic show will never gonna be as popular as things like Darwin Game, because it's more about animation than anime.

I have an art school visual designer friend planning to be a film director and this is so relatable per his brainstorming etc, the concepts he comes up with and the concepts in the show are worlds apart but it's so similar how they try to think freely and out of the box. The thought processes are completely alike

And he liked a clip of a show I showed him, despite being an anime normie so guess it's relatable for him too

All weebs creatures of the galaxy, hear this message. Those of you who listen will not be struck by western animation. You will no longer know hunger, nor pain. Your Anime have come to lead you now. Our strength shall serve as a luminous sun toward which all intelligence may blossom. And the impervious shelter beneath which you will prosper. However, for those who refuse our offer and cling to their western animation ways… For you, there will be great wrath.

I thought they were going to fall through the sheet metal roof and make more money with another accident video. Someone mentioned Metal Slug, I was thinking of that or Leona Ozaki and Bonaparte. 3000 yen is $300 US, right? Harbor Freight Tools FTW!

Man the club would probably already have been disbanded if not for Kanamori dealing with the stuff that goes outside the realm of animating. Their Tank vs Schoolgirl idea seems interesting, I like how the world of reality and imagination flows over to each other so far.

I wasn't that into the first half, and the comedy bits were meh but the second half I did like quite a bit. The animation of those keyframes looked outstanding, and made a random ass concept like a girl with a machete and a gas mask fighting a self-driving tank, fun to watch. Science SARU's done a splendid job in bringing out the beauty of what you can do in the world of animation, and here it focused more on the explosiveness of action and intense movements too when the girl was running around in that concept short. Really not only just the keyframes being animated but even the brainstorming of random quirky ideas about the tank, and how to go about drawing the girl with what tools, and what setting, and etc, was just really fun to watch. The glimpses of creativity shine brightly at times like these and this episode was the best of the lot so far in terms of that.

Characters still eh, story still eh, but I like the show a bit more than before just to appreciate the detail went into showcasing some of the wonders of why animation deserves more appreciation, especially for the versatility it has. I actually think this show would work better as a documentary rather than a school anime from what I've seen since beyond the actual showcase of animation and the tools and techniques behind bringing the best out of it, the story and cast still has been mediocre at best. I'm not even a fan of the soundtracks either.

I wonder if Sayaka was somewhat based on Eunyoung Choi, who also was the producer of Eizouken and kinda looks like her.

Animated Lone Wolf and Cub was the most unexpected thing ever! Clearly not rotoscoped from live-action but still very faithful to it.
The gas mask girl was a bit Nausicaaesque.

Am I the only person degenerate enough to have thought "Wow, and again not executed as a panty shot?!". There was a ladder, an idol grade beauty climbing it, there were several strong motion action scenes - none of the half a dozen cheap shots was defiled with fan service. Yuasa is serious about that it seems. In other news, the episode was as brilliant as the previous ones, this is definitely a classic in the making.

Some anime doesnt have that kind of fanservice , this one seems to be focused on story , not that much on characters

To say the truth , she was climbing that ladder and i was like (i guess no fanservice again...if at least she could climb me 🤤)
