Pretty cool fight this episode, I liked how the episode showcased the pain of outliving your loved ones.

Perhaps best episode yet. It didn't felt rushed and they adapted well the whole Shizuma confrontation, while addressing his beliefs and his disregard for human life after living nothing but failure his whole, long life and not skipping any important content. I really liked Shizuma's voice as well, it reflected well how tired he was of his whole existence.

The Manji vs Shizuma fight was very short, but it has been so far my favorite battle of the series.

Good episode that adressed the struggle of living such a long life. I really liked that quote at the end.

Badass gore episode again!
so if Manji encountered someone similiar to him (immortal) i guess there are still someone who is the same state as him since the old grandma has given bugs more than i time and much earlier than Manji huh...
5/5.

This seemed such a waste of a good character killing him off in one episode...

Well it looks like that Fake Monk gave Manji more than just a chest wound but also some that kills immortals like him......but why was he still alive?????

"Cry of the Worm" arc adaptation, a collection of side stories from the manga.

I'll admit, the manga was gory enough, but the anime truly is no holds barred.

Eiku Shizuma is no less from being an Itto-Ryu, but then again, like Manji, he's immortal to live throughout the years of living off an incurable disease that's as essential as a lifeline.

The immortality. That quote "Nothing is immortal forever, not even the two of us" was so sublime, it is the central drive of this episode, goes to show that even for someone as "immortal" as Manji (and not just in name), there is still that possibility that Manji could be dead at any moment.

Impressive episode with no rushed pacing, just nice actually for a 3-chapter episode.

Nice episode this week. I liked how the "suffering from being immortal" topic was approached and the fight scene between Manji and Shizuma, while short, was the most decent one so far.

Definitely my favorite episode that has aired so far. Nice action and I dug the story. Show appears to be getting better each week.

not when is used to distract from the story being told in an incompetent way

I don't know what you find distracting, it certainly adheres to coherent plot and provides information in a natural manner.

I'm not satisfied either. It's kinda hard to follow how the events from a previous episode connects to the next one. It really feels like something happens offscreen and we don't see it. But I still want to continue watching because of the director's art style.

Try Shigurui instead. It's the same person's directing but his work is better on that anime. Maybe you'll like that one.

This show is damn amazing! I'm enjoying this a big ton so far! I somewhat expected him to not kill the baby (just like he didn't), since it would've been a meaningless act even if following his ideals.

So that's sort of how his immortality works, most dangerous enemy Manji has faced until now

"Idiot, I'll take a pass on being your wife" got me rolling for a solid 5 minutes lol
Rip granny, she was a good person even though she betrayed Rin
