| Definitely watch it and then watch The Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya movie. The series itself is pretty good but the movie is one of the best anime films of all time but you're gonna need to watch the series first. And it's not a boring slice of life comedy by any means. The basic premise of the series is that Haruhi subconsciously affects reality although she doesn't know this so Kyon and his friends (Who are all extraordinary beings) have to keep her in the dark about the supernatural while going along with her antics because otherwise she might accidentally alter or destroy the entire world. It is a comedy but there are serious moments and a deeper plot in there while the movie is very serious and plot focused. |
