Oh I forgot she would be your first 5-star Foreigner. Handy to have one for sure, feels good to have a servant that Berserkers can barely dent, especially in more prolonged fights with them. I also forget her NP is single-target, the animation of it looks as if it could easily be multi-target tbh.

Seems like the 3rd ascension does reflect that same version that appeared at the end of the Lostbelt after all then, since she pretty much said the same thing IIRC. They were really dead-set on making sure she was the only summon from that Lostbelt that would be bittersweet lol

The funny thing is that after I gave Kadoc as a similar sort of example, I've since played through some of the Traum chapter which has been featuring him quite a bit, and I've actually started to warm up to him lmao so pretty funny timing. I'm not too far into it yet but it has the makings of quite the interesting chapter to say the least. But yeah even before that, I could certainly understand his perspective even if he was bitter about it, so I can see why the Genshin writing would be more egregious in that regard.

Sadly not, its a case of having to play through the entire game again. I definitely enjoyed the game enough to wanna do a second playthrough and see all the side quests I missed out on, but not immediately after finishing the first time. Especially considering how challenging it can be so it wouldn't be the easiest game to try and rush through. On top of that I'd be cutting it pretty close to when the Elden Ring DLC drops, so it seemed best to save my second playthrough for down the line. I did however decide to check out the other ending on YouTube since I'm not sure how long it'll be before I come back to it, and I'd say the other ending had the better looking final boss imo lol

I was advised to roll for Kriemhild since she's apparently extremely good against dragon enemies which I could see being pretty useful situationally, and I luckily managed to get her in a few single pulls. I'll also be trying to get Qin Shi Huang ofc since he'll be on soon if I recall correctly, although I'm not sure how prepared I'll be for it but I'll try nonetheless.

As of now, Tohka is just one of the many girls in the MC's harem, so no one is "winning" yet. Don't know what the author has in mind for the ending, but before that no reason to irritate a large portion of the fans who you need to sell merch to.

I think here no one even knows what Dragon Ball is and unlike anime like Naruto and Cardcaptor Sakura I don't remember ever seeing it on TV when I was a kid and wasn't connected to the internet yet. Guess that's just the power of broadcasting of the olden days when most people were dependent on it for experiencing these things. As for Naruto yeah, even though I didn't like how Shippuden developed, I have only warm memories about this series, so it's nice seeing it being alive even today.

To be honest, if I was Japanese I would probably not care about what shit outsiders end up getting too as long as it would prevent bad press, give me money and opportunity for the series to remain as it was intended on the Japanese market. Yup, I'm aware about what has been happening to Stellar Blade. Sony created a situation in which you lose whatever you do. The real test for Shift Up is going to be when/if they release Stellar Blade on PC. If they release censored version for it as well, then I won't be trusting them in the future. But what is weird to me personally is that people who want good games are still buying sony's console. This company discredited itself long ago.

Finally finished it. Really fun most of the time but 195 eps for the first kiss is kinda long tho. Ran and Megane best charas and Ryuunosuke the worst one, they should have cut her eps entirely it would be shorter and better. They gave nothing to the plot and were always EXACTLY the same leading to nothing. Did it pioneer the harem genre tho. Only Lum was into Ataru, while in harem everyone is into MC. But the remake doesn't have the original actors and they were great.

Oh awesome, yeah that's a sick synergy. Seems like she has the highest base atk of all the Foreigners, so to get a beefy percentile buff on top of that is pretty substantial. Think its the first time I've heard of a CE having that kind of situational damage multiplier effect, pretty cool.
Yeah it's all very confusing. If anything, shouldn't the 3rd ascension actually be the one out of them all that shouldn't have her memories? lol Cus she never took that form, it was a different version of her at that point in the story when it appeared. Unless its just that she has knowledge of that other version of Castoria while not being her like how it was in the story.

Ah yeah I certainly understand and can relate to that mentality, when the game doesn't do a good enough job of convincing you that the character you're facing is on your level, after everything else you've been through. Heck in a similar vain, the disrespect that Kadoc showed us and him downplaying our abilities as a master when we were fresh-off of defeating Goetia is part of why I found him unlikeable.

Seems like thinking the blood could've been a stylistic choice was copium on my part, since it wasn't quite as blatantly obvious as with the outfit tweaks at first glance. But yeah it's certainly jarring for her to shower the landscape with an enemies blood but remain relatively clean lol I don't get why that splatter detail which was consistent with the visuals mattered so much, Japanese gore censorship can be weird and specific sometimes from what I've observed and heard.

Yep I beat Stellar Blade a few days ago. I found out that it has multiple endings and two different final bosses depending on a decision you make near the end, so I'll very likely replay it in the future to see the boss and other content that I missed, although it won't be anytime in the very near future I think. Easily one of the most difficult games I've played, the mechanics are pretty damn tough to get good at but it feels amazing when you execute stuff well, and gives you plenty of tools to be stylish af in combat similar to Devil May Cry. The ending also seems to strongly hint at a potential sequel. One of my only gripes is that the last 5 bosses were relatively close to one-another without too much in-between and the pacing felt pretty fast towards the end, it was as if there should've maybe been one last open-world area to explore for that final stretch of the game, but overall I'd give it an 8/10.

You're on the second Date A Live season, right? Well, it's pretty much the same thing - MC goes on dates with new girls and his harem is expanding further. There's usually some short-lived crisis involved, but nothing I'd call major. After girls are added to the harem their interactions with the MC become rather mild.

As far as I'm aware (might be mistaken) even in the West getting employed with a criminal history is problematic, but that's only if you don't have money and have to work "normal" jobs. In my country a guy who served real sentence managed to became a president... Probably wouldn't be possible in Japan.

All I know about OP's Yamato is weird people being obsessed with her gender. If it's something like Ruka from Stein's Gate, then my condolences to the One Piece community. But yes, 1000+ episodes is too large of a commitment.

Sony killed Senran Kagura some years ago, so if you don't mind getting into a dead franchise - then sure, why not? It has great characters and art, although the story itself is mediocre and gameplay isn't that amazing either.

Don't know if this information is reliable or not, but I've read somewhere that after Calvard's arc there should be at least other two arcs, so I suppose there's a potential for any character to appear again, although this is on a level of "trust me bro" gossip.

I think saberface refers to two things:
- Artoria's variants.
- Takeuchi's signature style.
And while Lakshmibai doesn't look anything like Artoria, her face is indeed similar due to artist's artstyle.

Yeah, I've played it, but I've been doing it in Japanese, so don't expect me to have an in-depth understanding of it. Also, I'm fine with spoilers since I've dropped the game and not planning to go back.

The pricing is honestly crazy. Take any Kiseki game for example. I have so much fun with it for so little money spent, and on the other hand games like HSR offer me much, much, much less value but expect much more money even though the base thing is free. I wish Falcom would make a Kickstarter or something for proper EN translations, I don't have that much money but even I wouldn't mind paying like $100 for each game if it meant getting good text instead of that barbaric garbage NISA spews.

Yee but I'm more annoyed by how everything blends together in 17 and this combining with the tanky fairies makes it really annoying. And the same time Otter Master Spark can clear the enitre spell card and even more xD .At least it seems those tanky fairies are only excusive to 17. As far as romances are concerned, what SAO has is one of my least favorite situations. Essentially every girl is in love with the protagonist, but he only cares about the main heroine, so all the other girls are kind of going nowhere. In regards to Asuna, I like how she looks, but not a fan of her otherwise. Origami was nice (funny from the perspective of the viewer and has good traits from the perspective of the one she interacts with), although I'd prefer if she had longer hair on default.

I wonder how something like tax evasion is perceived by the Japanese people and businesses involved in publishing. Here there's so much corruption no one would really bat an eye on something like this.

How about Boa Hancock and Vivi? I liked them when I was watching One Piece, not sure if I would now though. Fairy Tail, on the other hand, has many girls I find great-looking and having attractive personalities to boot. Erza, Wendy, Lucy, Juvia, Mirajane, Ultear, Kagura (reminds me of Ikaruga from Senran Kagura), Virgo and some others. I don't think any other battle shounen can compete. In Naruto there's Hinata and Shizune, I guess. I remember liking her, but can't recall what her fate was. Did she die? Tsunade and Tayuya were nice too I suppose.

HSR's designs are bolder compared to Genshin, so maybe they're still testing how the people are going to react. Ironic how they were the first ones among big devs who tried making bunny skins and after their failure many other devs made a bank on the same thing. Even in case with Blue Archive, many people were initially drawn to Karin/Asuna bunnies. Are you still playing HSR, btw?

I feel like Claire and Alfin are going to end up being tied too Erebonia and unlikely to appear same how Chloe wasn't playable in any in any game past Sky and only appeared briefly, but you never know. Rixia honestly makes sense to appear regardless of the story development given her occupation and place in life... And Shizuna vs Rean rematch is something I'd love to see too.

Yeah, both Jeanne and Saber look stunning in their Shinjuku outfits. My top three would probably look like this: Jalter > Okita > Morgan, but I haven't read Okita's manga, so it's possible she'd snatch first place if I did. I don't like Nero and Mordred, others are OK (Saber is a bit boring, though). So in a way our preferences here are somewhat similar.

Well, with gacha you win some and you lose some. The last time I pulled in HSR, for example, I reached soft pity and failed 50/50, then got to 81th pull again. So I guess it evened out with Blue Archive this time. It's cool that in BA you can get alternative versions even off-banner. Railgun T was great, if you like Toaru, you should love this season too.

I think movie theaters are just dying. Too much effort going there considering most of the time you can just watch what is being shown there at home. It would be cool to go to with somebody else (e.g. a friend or a girlfriend), but do people even have those nowadays? Most of the people my age who I'm familiar with don't have partners or kids, and with friends it's mostly limited to online interactions.

Ah yeah I got some 5-star craft essences too but I also don't mention them unless they're particularly noteworthy. Congrats on pulling Yang, that craft essence art of her is great.

Tyvm, annoyingly tho I'm totally out of Forbidden Pages so I haven't been able to max out her skills straight away like I would've wanted. Thankfully one of the daily materials they're offering this month are the Forbidden Pages so I'll have enough by the end of the month at least, but it'll be slow going. And yeah that's true, I've been very fortunate so far in that regard. Awesome to hear, glad I won't have to wait too long for another shot at her.
Great choice, she would've been the easy pick for me if I didn't already have her. Agreed, one of my fav outfits of the game, feels good to have her and Jalter in their matching outfits at long last. Feel like Artoria Alter Rider will be one I try for too depending on how my quartz look when she's available.

For sure, the Rin aspect of her materialization mellowed her out quite a bit, and highlighted Ishtar's more positive qualities while repressing her crueller side iirc. So I think true Ishtar would be quite a bit more antagonistic, and would also be a lot more prideful similarly to how Archer Gil carries himself I imagine.

Something about the black & white with highlights of red in the design and her cold looking eyes/gaze really does it for me. But yeah that's fair, makes sense you wouldn't concern yourself with how mechanically good a character might be if you're at a point in the game where the gameplay doesn't matter all that much anymore.

I wasn't aware of it at first but I found out a few days ago too. A couple of the outfits got changed so that they were less revealing in the bust region including the bunny girl outfit which also had the sides lowered on the hips. The decision to censor them is pretty baffling tbh, there's still other outfits in the game that show just as much bust and skin in general than the ones that got changed. There's a swimsuit outfit and another that's pretty much lingerie, and the outfits that got patched were the bunny girl one and a bondage-looking outfit so y'know, they're kinda revealing by design lol Apparently the developers have come out and said that the outfits post-patch is how they were intended to look or something like that which I don't buy, because they look pretty lazily edited post-patch.
I have less issue with the blood thing because that seems like it might actually be a genuine design tweak from the developers. The game still has the same level of blood & gore, which is plenty of it at that, it just splashes on Eve a lot less now. Although it does feel like they might've over-compensated in that regard tbf.
Someone else that I've spoken to about the patch changes suspects it may be a publicity stunt from Sony where they rollback the changes so they can pull the "We listen to the players, we're good guys!" look, which I would certainly far prefer to it simply being braindead censorship on Sony's part.

One might say Tohka is a high-maintenance spirit. Ironically, her own value decreases every time another girl is added to the harem since they can bring to the table the same as she but without the downsides. Although, it's obviously subjective, I'm sure there are tons of Tohka fans who are totally fine with her and prefer her over the other girls from the same series. I probably wouldn't put her in the last place either.
Seems like Log Horizon is still being published, I wonder if its anime is going to receive continuation or not. I put it on-hold on the third season during all that semi-political talk that took place in the beginning. It's been 3 years since then.
I say Fairy Tail has a weaker story compared to Naruto, One Piece and Bleach and the same boring fillers, but the character design is better. Also, while typing this I just realized that the music of older battle shounen is much more memorable. There are tons of songs in all these four series I remember years after finishing watching them, but I don't remember a single track from something like Jujutsu Kaisen or Boku no Hero Academia.

HoYo could probably make millions per skin if they decided to sell them in Genshin/HSR on regular basis (even better if it came with a short story of some kind), but what they released for Genshin looks very bland. I know for sure I wouldn't pay for that. Maybe they're afraid of making anything less than "vanilla" due to censorship/outrage reasons. The good thing about skins (for them) is that you don't even need to create new abilities and animations.

At this point you might as well go for the next big milestone and amass 100000 pyro. When I decided to re-install Genshin I was actually a bit surprised Clorinde isn't playable yet considering how much of her fanart I have seen before.

Yeah, OG Class VII got the short end of the stick. Laura, for example, had a lot going on with her connection to the Steel Maiden and Le Guin, that whole situation with her father, friendly rivalry with Rean in regards to sword mastery and much more, but all this ended up leading to nowhere. And, well, at the very least if they didn't make Shizuna I wouldn't end up being unfaithful to Laura... Any characters in particular you want to see in the next game?

I'm currently trying to read Unionism Quartet in Japanese. It's been on my mind for a long time because I really like the art style and I liked this girl's design in particular .

Congrats on getting her, sucks you didn't get anything extra with that many quartz. Oh wow, I hadn't checked beforehand how ridiculous the drop-rate for that banner is. Well my good news is I'm also now a proud owner of Castoria, used all 24 tickets or so and then took 5 or 6 ten-pulls iirc. The bad news is that I've unfortunately been unable to get Shuten, used 303 quartz and all I have to show for it is Prince of Lan Ling. Think this might be the most quartz I've ever used on a servant without getting them. But well I suppose its something you have to be prepared for when you rely on luck instead of the pity system. At least I got the god tier support waifu, it was wholly possible that I could've gotten criminally unlucky and received neither of them. Think I'll be able to use the monthly summon tickets on it later as well before its gone but I'm not holding out much hope for it now.
How did your Yang rolls go btw? A lot better than my Shuten attempt I hope. And which of the 4-stars did you end up going with? I was between Gorgon, Zenobia and Hephaestion, but ended up going with Gorgon. Would've chose Hephaestion if I didn't already have a great Pretender.

Well we do sort of know how true Ishtar might look at least. PFALZ is the character/monster designer of Gugalanna and he first designed & used it in a 2012 doujin, which also showcased a design for true Ishtar. So since the artist has been a long-time contributor to Type-Moon and his Gugalanna design was later officially incorporated into Fate, people pretty much think of that as her legit original design. I certainly hope it ends up being used in FGO down the line because it's cool af:

I've certainly heard that it ends up getting quite messy narratively. From what I know, Jeanne and Sieg were written fairly badly with an unnecessary romance plot and it just generally seems like it had too many servants in too compact of a story for the author to handle them all well.

Yeah I have to agree with you on that, Daikokuten was interesting at least but I didn't get all that invested with this one. Think I recall hearing that Japanese players who had played this one in the past apologised to English players for getting this event while they had something a lot more interesting in the JP version at the same time lol

Funny you should mention it, I had actually seen it and was going to bring it up the last time I messaged you but it slipped my mind. Had some damn good animation and Arlecchino's design is so cool. She was likely already my fav Genshin girl design wise, but that animated short made me like her a good deal more on top of that. She would definitely be my main target if I was playing it.

It came out on Sunday if I'm not mistaken but I didn't get to play it till the day after on Monday. I'm really enjoying it so far, visually the game looks spectacular and the characters so far have been beautiful af, especially the protag Eve. The quality of the cosmetics has been a pleasant surprise as well, she has a bunch of really appealing and well-designed outfits that you can craft. Mechanically its pretty difficult, the timing on perfect parries and dodges is quite demanding and the enemies don't fuck around. Overall I'd say it definitely has Souls-like elements and difficulty to it but it also shares a lot of similarities with Automata and other PlatinumGames.

Is there even any commercial reason for HoYo to feature the characters they've already sold to the players in the new stuff? HSR has the same issue - the character has some screen time, then there's his or her banner, and then they're either completely forgotten or if you're lucky devs will throw you a bone from time to time. But yes, many characters in Kiseki don't have as much screen time as I'd like. I still remember feeling butthurt in CSIII when there was so little of the OG Class VII XD. To be honest I'm starting to think that Falcom needs to stop introducing new characters and focus on those which already exist.

Yeah, exploring different "routes" is one of the fun parts of CS/Crossbell games, even if they don't provide much of content. For Shizuna it's easy - they could just add some new romantic scenes in the next game, she's already involved in Van's group life anyway. But again, I'd be fine even with some Rean development. They don't even properly know each other, but there is a solid foundation for that kind of thing given their backgrounds. It really only depends on what Falcom wants to do.

I wonder if the players will continue to play Pokemon GO despite the changes or stop playing it altogether. If it were me, I'd drop it instantly.

Apparently the president of the studio which makes Naruto and Bleach said that Japanese animation needs to reject western standards to stay relevant, so maybe there's some light and the end of the tunnel, although it could also be just lip service. Well, older Bleach fans used to discuss its story and some silly stuff like power scaling, but newcomers are more concerned with what race Yoruichi is or some other BS like that.

In Kuro 3D models look even better than 2D character art we see in the menu, so yeah... I have 1446 screenshots saved from my Kuro II playthough and at least a quarter of them is just me appreciating Shizuna lol.
