I'm a big scaredy cat

I am afraid of everything at work. I work in a really old factory (built in 1917) I don't think anyone is really interested in my working conditions, but I love talking about it... Electric shock, gas poisoning, unsafe catwalks/walkways, having to climb on pipes and conduit to get to things, extreme heat, old malfunctioning equipment. Yes I have many stories from this place.

Outside work I fear the time passing me by. I've been out of high school for almost five years, but it feels like yesterday. I haven't been in a real relationship for over two years, and barely even realize. I am terrified that I could just blink and be 30, 40. Time is flying way too fast for me.

Thankyou :D Someone has to do the job though, and I have no right to complain cause I get compensated well for it. Doesn't make it less scary though

Actually I forgot to add to my post here that I'm pretty afraid of how my body will hold up as I grow older u3u going blind would obviously suck but I'm also super worried that my legs will be mega crippled since I don't get out nearly as much as I should :x


Yeah my legs already make weird creaking sounds sometimes when I stand up so I'm probably gonna be pretty crippled when I'm actually old lol.

When I was young I have no fear for bugs, insects, I catch all kinds of insects and bugs and keep them secretly as pets(even caught a baby snake at some point), but was scared of not knowing what happens after death.

After 2 decades I have no fear for death or what happens after(seen too many friends/relatives passed away, and yesterday's KyoAni office fire), but am now scared of all the bugs, I have no problems killing them calmly myself, but I find them disgusting, I guess this is what happens when your curiosity dies down.

It's weird.

You would think that wouldn’t you, only we’ve not been getting them anywhere near as much or as frequently if not at all down here in my neck of the South East Of England/West London woods so I’m kinda lucking out a bit lately thank god ^_^

I fear people are only pretending to like me, or they feel embarrassed around me to show off to their friends. I feel like the pandemic has only worsen that fear even further. I wish to be appreciated and valued as a friend and have close friendships, but I'm afraid it's only going to be surface level or casual friendships forever.
