Mm, still a lot of slice of life and comedy this episode. I thought it was cute and more like building up towards the next part.

RIP Gin. It was inevitable that not everything would be cherry all the way.

So the drama started and Gin fought to the end it seems.
It was impressive that she went so far tho.
But it looks like the rest of the girls will have a hard time dealing with this.

The first half was nice with the girls enjoying their school trip.

RIP Gin. She managed to drive away three Vertexes at the cost of her life.

I'd say yes you can, especially if they are a prelude to a very serious scene.

i don't see why that matters, if you can't take a scene seriously because of a transformation or some other type of fanservice, either you shouldn't be trying to in the first place, or you have a personal problem

im pretty sure the grown ass adults who make these anime know some people are going to react that way and just don't give a shit, which i highly commend them for

i don't take anime seriously regardless

It was hard to take watching the movie and seeing it again only makes the wound open up again. RIP Gin. The death flag was too real especially when she said "See you". But she held that determination and soul true to her blades.
Don't believe the hype.

I was only watching for The Event™ to happen all along, but man these one and a half almost non-animated blissful scenes were kind of... how to put it, I get that their point was further characterization but it still felt somewhat irrelevant to me. Probably because I don't think this part was well directed but that's only my opinion. But it sure was covered in flags lol
I was expecting Gin to go through the blossoming thing at least once as we see in the first season, maybe it hadn't been invented yet in that prequel ? I can't recall the details (didn't watch the movie)

We're up for 2 nice episodes of a+ suffering now, the glee !

They went there. They actually went there.

Not entirely unexpected, given that the intros have been hinting about it and Gin did trigger about a million death flags along the way, but still, i had my doubts given how the first YuYuYu ended. Judging by the condition Nogi is in the first series, there's definitely more to come as well. Really excited for the next episode now!

Let's get our tissues ready for the suffering of next 2 episodes. Saddest part often happens on the scenes after the character's death, not the death scene itself.

It was weird that Gin was found standing up yet implied to be dead. Also, I don't ever remember blood actually appearing in the first series. But thank god something finally happened for once, I was getting bored of the slice of life.

"I'm ready for the depression" was my thought going into this. That was me lying to myself as I watched Gin get a lot of focus and love this episode. Made watching this episode hard, and as soon as the other two were knocked out, I just felt sad, it became all too clear that this would be the episode. The worst part is that I love these girls, a lot more than I should so this hurt me ten times more.

Remembered being spoiled by the 3rd Movie cover but was hoping it wasn't actually a death behind it's reasoning but with all the foreshadowing i knew it was gonna happen was still sad af to see and the main series had a bit of bruises and blood but this was brutal by those standards :( good bye gin you were the embodiment of strength

So I kind of liked Gin but at the same time there simply hasn't been enough time for her death to have any sort of emotional impact plus it doesn't help that this is a prequel where we already know that everyone other than Washi dies.

After reading the LN, and watching the movies, this is my 3rd time experiencing Gin's death and it's always as painful. She fought until the end, sacrificing herself and defending her friends and country against 3 Vertexes on her own. Truly the mightiest Hero.

However, I would argue that episode 5 will be even sadder. The aftermath is usually more emotional and painful than the actual event of dying.

I think it will be sadder going forward. Mostly because I didn't realize Gin was dead when the episode was over...I thought it was one of those 'passed out' while standing instead of the dying while standing. I thought the drama was going to come from her severe injuries.

But yeah, talk about a heroic last stand. Gin fought and died a hero. Just continued to push on even as her body was getting ripped apart.

The tragedy really starts from here though. First they'll have to tackle the sadness of losing a precious friend. Then the tragedy of what they are getting into next.

It's a sad loss and makes it amazing that the world hadn't ended. That trio of enemies was just overwhelming.

First part was... well, needless, should have been short, we had plenty of slice-of-life the weeks before.

And as for the second part... they were too easygoing and didn't take things seriously when the fight started, contrary to what they learnt in their training, and all of that was the reason for their downfall.

Gin's death is, well... if my guess is right and if the searing is right by its name prepare for another death next time cause it would be just Washio in the end.
And she will probably sacrifice to bring those two back in the last episode, just saying...

Man, they went extra sexy with the transformation scene there; tits bouncing, pulling on the body suit, and a little ass smacking.

Holy shit they showed best girl Gin no mercy. Why does it always have to be the kind one who wants to be a bride that gets a worst treatment :'( You basically knew it was over the minute she left them and said see you.

Ffs she took so much damage her fucking arm was missing and she looked like swiss cheese.

Man, even though we know that this would come, and especially with all the signs in this and the previous episode, I'm still sad :/ She went out in a heroic way though...

I'm still wondering why they don't have spirits and mankai. Hopefully we'll get an answer :(

The extra ecchi during the transformation seemed quite unnecessary compared to the ecchi-less ways of the original series (with only Tougou/Wasshi getting some of it during her transformation, fortunately).

Dat ED theme. I knew this was going to happen once Gin said see you then Sumi grabbed her hand then when her hand hurt then she fell.
