| First of all: Not everybody needs to like Holo.I really like Holo but I don't judge anyone who doesn't like her.If pinkarray don't Holo,it's her own taste.Everyone has their own taste and don't need to like the same thing. I think Holo is a pretty smart character and even more realistic than ofter female characters.I wouldn't say Holo is that overrated.Maybe a lot of people love her but that's their own thing. |

She's not real, she's just a character someone made up in their head. I'm a writer, I know what I'm doing! And they say don't go too far with flaws. Even if I'm critical, some of the movies I like are ones that other people like and could be considered classics. Also, I'm not jealous. I didn't develop feelings for any of the character. You need to go rub some Cecily King in your face too, she's a much sweeter character than most characters. Also, go watch All Dogs go To Heaven and The Rescuers, the little girls in there are examples of truly likeable characters! |

| Hello, everyone, I know you do not deserve my bluntness but please refrain from disrespecting other people for having opinions different from yours. Going out into the real world defending your favorite characters in an illogical way would not get you friends, It would just make people hate you. You need to start learning more about empathy and respect. No one wants to be around somebody who attacks people for reasons that don't make sense. It is not that big of a deal if a character is a bit cloying or saccharine, yes, it's not the best thing you can do with a character, but it doesn't make them annoying. I don't like goody-goodies neither and nor the people that are always calm because those kind of people, of course, may not stand up to fights or anything. And a character can be ugly and still be gentle people. They don't have to be cutesy. A character can still be entirely laid-back, chill, or easy-going without coming across as too calm or patient. Characters like Vash the Stampede are good example of characters like that, yes, he's too much of a pacifist, but he's still my husbando. I see you've also seen Fullmetal Alchemist, I have seen some of that and I can say Ed seems to be a good example of a character who's not too annoying and thus, likeable. |

| Remember that Holo acts this way in part because she thinks Lawrence likes her this way. There are quite a few times in the anime experience where she is far from immature, she put her life and freedom on the line quite a few times for the sake of Lawrence and his dream of owning a shop. She is at many times cunning & insightful, and she has shown a few incredible bouts of patience and determination. Holo is Holo, and I won't deny you your right to dislike her, but she has plenty of strong and endearing qualities that make her like-able. |

I haven't seen Chobits since I was 13 years old and I think Chii did exhibit weird behavior towards the end. I don't think that makes her perfect nor saccharine. She's just an android, she's probably programmed to be a completely nice girl, I don't think that's a big deal. She's not a human being. And I don't think whoever was writing her was baiting. Holo is not for people who don't like characters who exhibit immature behaviors. She's for whoever can handle that type of behavior. I don't see how calling some fictional character overrated is bait. Bait is when you're posting a topic just to deliberately annoy other people. This is just an honest opinion that I'm giving about a cartoon, calling a cartoon overrated and saying why you dislike it is still an opinion, not a fact. And I don't like most passive characters. And assertiveness can be either good or bad, as long as it doesn't come off as blunt (which in the case, Holo does), I'm okay with that. |

| Holo is a likable character because she actually isn't childish as you say. Been a while since I've seen it, but Holo, from my memory, was very proud, and liked to joke around. She was very intelligent, but never felt the need to flaunt that around, and instead found fun in teasing Lawrence. She's the type of female character that won't take shit from anybody, and that alone is already a great step in the right direction for a likable female character, as she can't be simply pushed into the corner with all those other generic blobs that can only rely on the "cool male MC." If you don't like her as a character, that's up to you, but people aren't wrong when they call her a good character, because she is. There's a difference between bad and good characters, and characters that you yourself find to be good or bad. |

She's mischievous yes, but while she is old in our scale of things, she's a god. Hundreds of years old isn't very old to her. It's quite literally just a sense of scale. She could act like some wise old lady if she felt like it, but she's simply the type to tease and have fun, aka, that mischief. Which, really is simply teasing and prodding at Lawrence, not mischief. Her blunt, selfish, and bossy side comes from the "wise wolf" part of her name, and it is very clearly announced that she is indeed very wise, it's an episode 1 thing :P Her being wise also drags pride along with it, and that is where those 3 traits come in. BUT, you need to be sure to not confuse genuine bluntness and such, with the simple teasing bluntness. She may be blunt, but she's almost never wrong. she's may be selfish at times, but can be caring at other times. She may be bossy at times, but she does listen to Lawrence just as much, It's a two-way thing. I wouldn't say she's possessive really, and as for anger, maybe a couple times, but it was never an overwhelming factor from all I could see. |

She doesn't come across as immature or flirty to me, I find her funny, witty, and smart. She's a very wise, very old goddess who's taken human-like form and is just having a little fun. It's only natural she'd be a bit sarcastic; humans to her are like children trying to look smart in front of their mom. Her interactions with them are kind and subdued; she doesn't try to talk above humans, rather she tries to fit in with them and joke around with them. I think Holo is very endearing in that regard; "sassy" and "flirty" is simplifying her personality too much. |
