The Irregular at Magic High School (light novel)
| With all the plotholes, the half-assed incest (heard it was done a whole lot better in the LN), the weak fights, the horrible lighting, and the terrible MCs and villains (Tatsuya is the biggest Mary-Sue I've ever seen), I gotta say that this anime was terrible, to put it lightly. Worse, this anime is the most boring thing I've witnessed. There are usually 2 info-dumps per episode, and each range from 1-5 minutes, meaning that there is over 5 episodes worth of info-dumping present here. So much sitting and taking. Plus, thanks to the MC being the biggest Gary Stu ever conceived, there is no tension or excitement to his fights. Put it simply, the anime feels like it doesn't even want to be watched. Also, no. Tatsuya is not a parody sue. All of this is played completely straight without a shrewd of Irony. |

| I don't think this anime is good at all. Everything about the story, plot, characters and the tone of this show just sucks for me. Even the 2 good opening songs and great character designs can't save this show from being a total failure. |

| it hits all the right spots with the world building and a good breath of fresh air in the battle shonen genre. cant say the same for the anime adaptation though. its the only anime where i don't find the incest to be as annoying and even find myself rooting for them a lot of times.. |

| It's pretty fucking trash to me: the characters are dull, the world building is unnecessarily complicated and confusing, the various infodumps are presented in the laziest possible way and the payoff (ie the action) is rarely ever worth it. An overpowered potato would make a more charismatic and charming MC than Tatsuya. Plus its views on society lean so far to the right I can't help but feel uncomfortable. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. edit: btw, the incest is shit too |

| I just finished it and to be honest I don't know The first few episodes I was intrigued by the action scenes and how strong and mysterious was the main character. By the series goes on I'm like..... "This guy is way too overpowered... its like playing a video game in God Mode on" Too many unnecessary conversation that was out of placed, some plot holes here and there, the action scenes were awesome but they always cut it at the best part. The incest thing was kinda throwing me off too, they don't really show any lewd stuff but its distasteful. I like the character development of the side-characters, the main characters were shit tbh. |
| The anime is truly terrible in my opinion for many reasons, stupid plot that doesn't accomplish something, the incest is terrible, characters are dull because no nice backstories or a good events to supply with and they don't show the personalities enough at least, weak and non-inspiring fights, too many unnecessary build ups that leads into confusion as well, and almost zero development. |

| I'm a sucker when it comes to strong main characters and this Shiba is totally up there. The last episode blew me away and had me so hyped. He was literally GOD. How awesome can that be? I really enjoyed the anime because it was so entertaining and so easy to watch. I binged the entire season in one go and I was never once bored or lost interest. I really hope they come out with another season after the movie. I'm really excited to see what else is in store for Shiba. |
