Oh thats good to hear.
I don't think I can stand loud noises without earplugs at all (which makes it worse, considering part of my family is from Turkey and when they celebrate a wedding, they love loud music coming from giant speakers...)

Nah, I get it. I don't force myself to watch seasonals every week either.
Only one from this season I watch is "Tonari no Youkai/The Youkai Next To Me", which...honestly, looks like it could be the hidden gem of this season. The first two episodes I watched were really great!

But damn, the last few seasons have been packed to the brim with stuff again.
Especially now the Spring season, so much stuff, sequels, originals, adaptations from beloved manga...this season has a lot...

Well, at least it sounds like things have been mostly the same for you.

For me things also have been mostly the same.
Finally have a job now since December and since then had a bit less time to really watch much anime until recently, but other than that, not much has really changed here. Going to work, coming home, playing videogames or watching shows/movies and on the weekend doing more of that.

I've seen some neat shows, played some fun new games (recently started "Nightmare Reaper", which is a very fun first person shooter) and read more manga.

To be honest, his movies never really sounded that interesting to me. I mean, they all look beautiful from the scenes I've seen and its clear that the man has a passion for his job and for making these movies. I just never been interested in his "Boy meets Girl and they fall in love with a fantasy twist" stories.

Although I did read a manga many years ago (and recently reread it) that I feel like, it would fit his style too well XD

Its an adaptation called "Calling You" (based on a short story) and its about a very shy girl who wishes she has a cellphone, so she imagines one in her head...and somehow, it ends up working. She starts a friendship with and develops feeling for a boy, who also imagined a cellphone in his head and who lives in a different prefecture and time than her.

Its a sweet little oneshot (apparently there are multiple manga adaptions of it) with some good art and yeah, just the synopsis alone makes it sound like Makoto Shinkai being the perfect director for an adaptation XD

I see, you're not a fan of the new Makoto Shinkai movie (which I honestly don't know anything about except from the trailer which was basically...girl falls in love with guy and her jealous cat transforms him into a living chair XD)

To be honest, the only Makoto Shinkai thing I have watched was...I think that short he did mostly by himself, about the girl who pilots a mech and she and her friend who has a crush on her back on earth send text messages to each other, which take years until they reach
(that man knew, what kind of stories he wanted to do for the rest of his life...)

That and I think the short anime movie that was from the perspective of a housecat. But I couldn't tell you anything about it...

Oh yeah, Frieren looks pretty great. Alone that they already released 4 episodes at once is a pretty big show, how much they believe in their work.
Spy x Family's great, but I think a lot of people, when they start watching/reading it, think it'll be a spy series, with some cute and funny family stuff. It's actually the complete opposite, its mainly a cute Slice-of-Life series, where the occasional episode/arc is about something spy related.


Yup.
Never knew where I could read it, until I found the manga on MangaDex. In some ways its different from the anime (like there's an actual protagonist instead of you interpreting yourself into a 1st person camera like with the anime, the hotel is in our world (maybe), stuff like that), but it works in translating this series and its strenghts into a readable format. Plus the art for the manga can REALLY sell, when the hotel and its residents screw with the protagonists reality and mind.

I did hear, that apparently they also tried pushing the shipping and romance angles more in later seasons, to appeal to viewers who shipped certain characters. Apparently at the cost of the writing


Thing is...do you know Amino? This social network app, where you could create communities related to everything you want, that like every Youtuber advertised in the 2010s?
I actually used to write 1000+ word reviews on the Anime Amino every few weeks, until the app died. And in general, I love talking about stuff I watched/read (I sometimes even rant to people when I tell them about it, without realizing it 😅)

It's more the technical side and my shyness to speak, that hold me back from creating a channel and making videos 😅

To me, the most obvious choice this season is "Spy x Family Season 2" (since my mom and I loved season 1 so much, we finished it completely in like a week). Season 1 was such a cute and wholesome, yet also pretty funny and action packed show, so I hope season 2 (as well as the upcoming movie) delivers on that.

Also probably "I'm in Love with the Villainess" since that one seems to have a pretty funny twist on the whole "Otome Game Isekai" formula (and I have a friend, who loved the original LN and manga).

Other than that, I gotta read some shows synopsis to see if something speaks to me. Other than that...more stuff from my PTW list (I'm currently having such a good run watching and finishing shows from there, having just finished "Jewelpet: KiraDeco")


Also, since its October, I definitely have to do my annual rewatch of the entire Gregory Horror Show anime (which I consider one of, if not the best horror anime/shows ever made...which says something, considering its probably the first CGI anime ever made and is from 1999)
I did finally read the manga last week and it was an interesting take on the shows world and characters.

Like I said, it never really spoke to me. It is cool, how it managed to gain such popularity, to the point that it got actual anime and manga adaptions and things like that, but the story and world itself never spoke to or interested me in any way. Though it'll be interesting to see your viewpoint on it.

Damn, this season seems to be filled to the brim with shows again. Makes it difficult to choose, what to watch (not to mention all the stuff you have in your PTW too)...

Also, while I have never seen RWBY (it never interested me that much), I am already curious to see your video series on it, since I did hear that it didn't just got bad in later seasons, but that it got REALLY BAD...
