| Just finished Ergo Proxy last night and it is definitely right up there among some of my favourite anime. I loved the characters and the surrealism at times as well as the themes involved in the plot, it also had me questioning what was real on more than one occasion. A must watch for anyone who likes the psychological genre and probably worth the time for those who don't. Thanks reccer! :))) Is there going to be another Animangathon? If it won't be for a while I will start my second recommendation as I had two ^_^ |

| i'll talk a bit about my recs Anime : i got recommended Shokugeki no Souma, it wasn't a bad show but it was a bit weird (for me) , some elements didn't fit will for me , i didn't hate it but it took me time to finish it. i wasn't found of the story, not into food in general, there's not much ecchi but at the same time the "ecchi moments were kinda dull , maybe because its not the main focus of the anime, the characters were good, music was nice , art was nice. i might consider watching the 2nd season. Manga : i got recommended Mx0, i already knew about this manga and i had read like 20 chapter before putting it aside, not because its bad but at some parts it feels kinda slow, i still have a lot of chapters a head , but i'm sure it wont be dropped or put aside, i'll just take my time reading it . the story is kinda new to me, but at the same time it feels familiar, it has some good moment and some cheesy moments , the characters most of them fit in the story , a few feel like a filler, art is good. idk why, but it'll take me a little while to finish it :/ |

| So I guess I'll start talking about my rec a bit too, being half way through and all. Plus I dont want to let you guys know how I felt about the ending, just in case you havent watched it yourselves^^ So..yeah..Blood+ is one of these shows with lots of exposition..it feels a bit slow paced and it's more on the serious side which makes it hard to marathon the episodes and when I saw there was 50 episodes..I panicked a bit; is it going to be like that the whole time? xD Yet I'm glad they took their time and made it 50 episodes long and I wouldnt change a single episode. It doesnt feel rushed at all and not even a single filler episode (til now atleast) Once you're deeper in the story, you get to like the characters and everything else more and more which makes it more enjoyable to watch. The action parts are a bit dull, but like I said once you get sucked in to the story you tend to like everything :P and I hope it only gets better. Oh yea and it had action, drama and a bit of romance in there. So good choice, Ari.^^ OH YEAH AND BLOOD+ HAS ONE OF THE MOST FUCKED UP ANTANTAGONIST IN HISTORY! Like WTF? Did she just-..? I mean-... that's fucked up! Some soundtracks I liked and then I knew immediately why when I read 'Hans Zimmer' in the opening.The endings are more memorable than the openings in my oppinion so far^^ I'm rating it a 8/10 atm as in it's memorable, enjoyable & rewatchable So Thank you @Arianna for recommending^^ You're always giving me good recs like 'Ghost Stories' hahaha! ;D |

| Well, I got Shiki as my anime recommendation. It fitted what I asked for, still, I found it to be pretty average. First off, the pacing is really slow and there was a lot of filler/useless episodes; I could have skipped entire episodes and it wouldn’t have changed much. Also, MAL labels the show as a mystery, which is weird, because, for me, there was no mystery; everything was really easy to figure out (though, maybe that is just MAL giving the mystery tag to a lot of anime series that shouldn’t have it, idk). Then, the hairstyles, for those who have seen it, you know what I’m talking about; it was annoying, but I lived with it. Plus, the stupidity of the village habitants (the human ones) really got on my nerves. Though, I guess it can be expected from such a removed place that still has room for some kind of religion (that priest is one of the biggest hypocrites I have ever seen). I would have more to say, but I won’t list everything I didn’t like. In conclusion, I don’t regret having watched it, but if I had not done so, I wouldn’t care about it either; I have watched way worse, but I also watched way better. By the way, for the person that gave me the recommendation; if you have read this, then let me say that I still thank you for having took a bit of your time to recommend me an anime to watch and that it did meet the criteria I had listed in this thread. Thus, no worries and thank you again. |

| Ok then. I too, shall let my opinions be heard about the major flaws of my 2 recs (which I mostly enjoyed and am really thankful btw). My ratings may be a little strict but that's just me (fun I know..), so don't take them to heart! :) The 1st was Baccano!. The story and art were truly nice! Im not a big fan of it's mafia theme, nor it's huge number of characters BUT my biggest issue with it, was that it kept alternating between 3 different timelines 'all the friggin time'! Like 5-8 times/episode! Why the heck would they do that for? I suppose to make it more interesting but it was actually confusing in a frustrating manner, at least for the first 5 episodes til I kinda realized what was going on. The 2nd was Mnemosyne. The plot was 'ok'. My biggest issue here, was that all the characters were a bit too distant/cold. I think there were 1 or 2 smiles of joy throughout the whole series. It was a 'serious' anime after all, but a tiny pinch of humour every now and then never harmed anyone. Oh, there were also bewbs which are always welcome ofc! :P All that being said, I did enjoy watching both of them and consider them very descent for their genre! :) Thanks again dude! |

| yay 3 recs :D well i got parasyte, ive watched a handful of eps on adult swim but not chronologically which is why its not in my list. so i finally get to watch it properly himouto! umaru-chan. why does it look like i am going to hate this anime xD wwell i havent watched a slice of life in a while so i think im ready for it and gun frontier. i really like late 90s-early 2k anime and this kinda looks trigun-ish. looks promising thanks whoever gave me these, i appreciate the variety ^^ |
