| Fair enough, but Tsurumaki at Gainax made FLCL what it was. I'm reading that it's going to be more of a "spiritual successor" than an actual sequel, which is not as bad. I'm still skeptical though. In my mind, FLCL is a self-contained story that shouldn't be added onto. |

| Now that it's confirmed that Motohiro from Psycho Pass will be the director, I wouldn't get my hopes up at all, the series was as good as it was thanks to Tsurumaki's talent. I'm low-key hoping to see an adult Naota making a cameo appearance but otherwise I don't really like the idea of continuing the story after such a satisfying ending :/ |
