Tempo 3 means the spiker starts the approach run after the setter tosses the ball. Tempo 2 means the spiker starts running at the same time as the setter tosses. Tempo 1 means the spiker has already started the approach when the setter tosses. In this case, Minus tempo means that by the time Kageyama tosses the ball, Hinata has already completed the approach and IS ALREADY in the air. I am not a volleyball player so this could be inaccurate though. This is what I understood from this episode °w° Thank you for the clear explanation. That makes sense. |

| That episode engaging, very intense storytelling, rhythm was suitable for an event like a game of volleyball, drawings and animations always big-like quality, the characters always bright and pleasant to follow. The finish is a whole program, Yay! |

| I don't get this "best eight" stuff. Weren't Karasuno in the best eight as well? Since they lost in the quarterfinals. They don't do a great job explaining the tournament mechanics. |

| This was an awesome episode. Very short match. But very freaking sweet! I knew from the start that it would be an easy fight compared to the real challenges they've faced because they had one hurdle to surpass, not many, and of course Karasuno can surpass one hurdle. However, this fight focused on Karasuno's cogs moving far more than the last did and it made it very satisfying. The David vs Goliath battle of who could reach the highest point first is great, but seeing Asahi dive like they had to so many times, and seeing Tsukki dominate the blocking when the giant wasn't involved, seeing Hinata scan the blockers for an opening twice like Bokuto showed him with the training from Ukai under his belt, the synchronized run, and many more. The last match focused on the opponents but his one focused on Karasuno and it was good. Hinata and Kageyama are a match made in heaven. No one else would have the ability to trust in each other to the degree they do, improve at a radical pace that both keep up with and ultimately be able to hit a minus tempo as they did. We already knew it but now we're seeing it in all its glory. Right as I was saying that the giant would be so scary next year now that his competitive drive has been fueled Ukai took the words out of my mouth. And, we got a good introduction with those bad boys. There's something about the new antagonist's cadence and smugness that I love. I can't quite place it but I cannot wait to see more of him. DId anyone else catch Yachi taking notes on tempo? It was adorable. |

| how is this match pointless????? it clearly shows their improvement & their growth & i don’t think i want to watch them suddenly play a match with the stronger teams either, the pacing is just right for me anyway LOL @ noya & tanaka lmao these 2 seriously crack me up!!!!! was hoping that guy with the tongue piercing would be more likeable but no he hits on kiyoko right off the bat. he’s really hot tho lol |

| super cool to see them easily defeat the first team! it really seemed like all their matches against powerhouse teams were worth it. though i really enjoyed seeing the story behind the first team karasuno played against — i was almost rooting for them lol. really heart touching to see them play till the last second & to see the captain in that team too! |
| Hinata was absolutely sugoi this episode! I hope we see more of Tall Dude in the future; I think that he'll be even stronger and scarier. He might even grow more too! Hinata's lunchbox though oml that was so cute x3 |
| Last two episodes were meh, they could end the first half of the season much better or at least with 1 match during 2 episodes and not 1 match per episode. The opponents didn't have much of a personality either or their character is based on tropes -tall guy and thug face guy-. I was enjoying the season until episodes 12-13. Anyways, the first haf of this season is still quite good. 7/10 for the first half. I'm going to continue later. |

| Great episode. Ukai-sensei is really something else and only that kid was basically there to make sure that we don't forget the terms used hence why he kept asking about anything. Again, great opening and ending, hoping the next episode features new ones (also getting closer to HIKARII ARREEEE). |
