| Great episode! I do think LuLu has a heart. He did the memory wipe because for one, he was punishing himself (losing a good friend), and two, he thought her life would be better without him. Think about it, he KNEW that she was in pain after feeling betrayed by the person she loves. By leaving her alone, she is just going to be in more pain. The only alternatives are to kill her (not a good one) or just wipe her memories of him so she can start fresh in a way. If he doesn't wipe those memories, she's going to live with the pain. I think LuLu does care about his friends and that's why he's always so conflicted when these things happen. |

Even though Shirley isn't that great and events like these have been done before, just the event of someone close forgetting about you for the "greater good" is just heartbreaking. They did a nice job executing that scene. Poor Lelouch :'( Wonder how they're going to explain everything else at school... |

At the cemetary, she asks if Lelouch also lost someone, he replies yes. SOOO full of win. There are some things only fiction can do ;) I thought that Masquerade song was good and really fit the ending. I just wonder what is the english part she sings in the beginning, it's really hard to hear... | Welp, -1 member to Lelouch's harem. Hopefully that'll shut up all the people groaning about Lelouch x Shirley. Personally, I thought she was a fine character and she got GREAT development this episode. The ending was positively tragic - for both Lelouch and Shirley. I can only fathom how hard it was for Lelouch to do that, considering it was quite obvious he had feelings for her as well. It all could've been avoided if he hadn't fucked up AGAIN by not calculating Lancelot's presence in the previous battle. The consequences hit him pretty hard this time around. But how the hell does he plan on explaining it to the scrubs at school when Shirley has no clue who the hell he is? |
