So Eusth started posting the final volume!
The battle between Kazuki and Aya is beginning!
I realise how much I've forgotten and maybe it's a mistake to read this without having re-read at least Volumes 5 and 6, but I just can't wait!

Also, the first chapter showed some happy moments (what a lie), and how the Rejecting Classroom would be without Maria. Now I realise how boring it would be. She's like a phantom character most of the time but she is what keeps this story going. The mystery is still on - I honestly have no idea how Kuzuki would manage to bring back Maria and save her. As O/Aya explained, it is kind of, a bit... impossible.

Kazu must "find" a "fragment" of Maria to be able to break out of this endless bittersweet cycle of an fake everyday life.
If my *THEORY* is correct than Kazu himself is the "fragment", which is needed to break out of this cycle, or to be exact, his "wish crushing" ability is what he needs to re-awaken. It's Marias "Fragment" in this never ending classroom.

What I wonder is: who actually created these wish granting boxes?
"O" didn't exist, before Maria got her Box "flawless bliss", just like there was no "savior". So somebody had to grant Maria a wish, so that she could get her box and "O" and the "savior" would start to be a thing.
I'm expecting a plot twist.

Haven't read past chapter 1 yet either (chapter 2-4 + epilogue aren't at Baka-tsuki yet, but hopefully will be in the near future).

Damn, if HakoMari would have ended with this chapter...who knows what I'd do.

I haven't read the 6th volume since last year and I got confused as well.
At least I know I'm not the only one questioning that paradox.
I hope there's an answer for that in the final 3 chapters!

O's existence was explained satisfactorily enough in Volume 5 :)

Was able to read the raw with whatever Japanese I can understand and.... It was definitively worth the wait and it's the first ending in a while that makes me feel completely satisfied. Looking forward to read the translation.

Finished it as well now~

I think that was about as good as it could have ended, both in terms of story progression but also in atmosphere

All in all... a fantastic ending to an absolute masterpiece of a light novel. Not sure what could possibly top this

That conversation between Iroha and Yuuri was beautiful! :D
It was the best slapsitck in the series by far.

The ending is great. Although i am happy for Kazuki and Maria... I still want him to end up with Kasumi or Yuuri. :) dammit, multiple ships are hard to maintain... :D

Well atleast, Yanagi Yuuri is still pure. XD

First of all huge thanks to Eust.

Just like Eust said, this volume is INSANE.

From start to finish the mixture of dark theme, madness, solitude, warm heart and emotional... everything just FREAKING AWESOME.

And that ending..... Nothing can beat that. So Beautiful.

The Epilogue....lol. Yuuri, can't believe i like her just because of that epilogue xD

Godamnit!!!

That last volume is fucking awesome! Kazuki actually killed everyone like he said he would. We finally learn the story behind Aya Otonashi. Kazuki changed Maria and got her to give up her endless pursuit of another box. The burden of solitude made Kazuki lose himself. Damn this last volume had everything. And the epilogue is just beautiful. Definitely the best part of the volume.

And now we say goodbye to Maria, Kazuki, Daiya, Kirino, Usui, Mogi, Iroha, Yuuri, and O. This has been such a great ride. I'm definitely going to reread this again and again in the near future.

The last novel was fantastic, I loved it all.
Yesterday I was simply lucky to find that HakoMari's 7th volume had been finished translating on BakaTsuki by chance, just that one day I was thinking "Hm, maybe it's already done..." and it said that the PDF was finished on 7/27 so I was pretty happy about that

Got home from work at like 1 am and figured I'd read a couple pages before I go to sleep but I just got hooked on reading it, didn't finish until around 4 am

The epilogue was great and Maria's part made me cry too

I really want an anime adaptation really badly :c

Are you from Japan? Cause I'm trying to get in Japanties.

A great conclusion to the series.
Without a doubt my favorite light novel.
I prey for an adaption but doubt any studio can pull it off.
I honestly don't know what to do now that its finally over.....

So, I barely ever post here but I guess I'll make an exception for this.

Reading this volume was simply an incredible ride. I laughed, I cried, I was angered and filled with joy.

I was amazed at how minor details from volume 1 were brought into the story such as the peppermint smell.

Lastly, I think there is one sentence that describes Maria better than any in the chapter "1st time" of volume 1. "but I am not strong." this is immediately followed by a short description that perfectly shows up how she was going to act at the end of volume 7.

Hakomari was a meticulously crafted story that was captivating from start to finish and, because of that, I can easily say that it has become one of my favorite works of fiction ever.
