Michiko to Hatchin and Akame ga Kill! were announced at MomoCon to air on Adult Swim's Toonami block on June 20th and August 8th, respectively.

Michiko to Hatchin first aired on October 16, 2008 and received a dub release by FUNimation on September 17, 2013.

Synopsis
After escaping from prison, the sexy criminal Michiko rescues an abused girl known as Hatchin. The two are about as opposite as they come, but their fates become intertwined through the connection of a man from both their pasts. On the run from the police and Hatchin's abusive foster parents, the unlikely duo set out to find this man and ultimately discover their freedom. (Source: FUNimation)

Akame ga Kill! first aired on July 7, 2014, but does not have a dub release. It will be the first anime licensed by Sentai Filmworks to air on Toonami.

Synopsis
Under the rule of a tyrannical empire, Tatsumi, a young swordsman, leaves his home to save his poverty stricken village. He meets a girl named Akame, an assassin who was bought, brainwashed and trained to kill by the Empire. Akame is a member of the secret assassin group called "Night Raid" who use special weapons called Teigu. Together, Tatsumi and the members of Night Raid confront the corrupt empire. Haven't watched the anime, but the manga isn't the most light-hearted things I've read in a while.

From what I understand, it's a show about never having favorite characters. If you don't watch it now, I would assume there to be a lot of fuss over it in the preceding months full of rage and spoilers. That being said, I assume there was already a phase of that when it originally aired. Either marathon it now to be ahead of the game, or wait until it's dubbed to rage in English. Although, unless they were already dubbing it but never announced it, there's only two months between now and when it airs. I wonder how that's gonna work.

Anyways, I'm glad to hear about Michiko to Hatchin getting attention. It has been around for years and its dub is quite something. I hope it's well-received.

Michiko to Hatchin is worth the watch but Akame not so much.

Hatchin was created by the same producers (Shinichirō Watanabe) of Cowboy Bebop iirc so their art style is some what similar.

Well Akame ga Kill is a perfect little package made for western audience so it's no surprise that it will air on Toonami.

Disappointed in Mitchiko and Hatchin. Was hoping they'd get Psycho Pass or Blood Blockade Battlefront instead. I feel like it'll get lackluster ratings.

I think I'm more excited about Toonami and Sentai are working together rather than the announcement of Akame Ga Kill itself. Akame is a good choice because it fits well. I just hated the last 5 episodes.

Michiko to Hatchin is such a damn good series and is done by the protogee of shinichiro wattanabe(bebop, samurai champloo, dandy) and its a really worthy successor that stands up on its own two feet. Its actually possible it could appeal to people who dont even like watannabe's stuff too. Also the dub is top notch

Angel Beats isn't a good fit for Toonami. The non action based shows normally tank in ratings.

Akame ga Kill is garbage, but it's definitely the type of show edgy western teens would enjoy, so I get why it's airing.
Michiko and Hatchin is pretty decent, and I'm surprised that they're airing it. It isn't particularly popular.

I personaly find "Michiko to Hatchin" to be better than "Samurai Champloo" , yet it's certainly not even close to be as popular .
So if it means that more people will discover it and watch it , it's a damn good news .

I hear Michiko to Hatchin sounds better in English dub due to the fact of the language Michiko uses and attitude.. I haven't finished the anime, since I couldn't find the rest of the dub. I need to watch more tv!

I Agree. Angel Beats can't fit on a action block, heck I've heard some people saying they Want K-ON on the lineup, and I said really? I don't think a girly show should fit on a action block. It's better if Disney gets K-ON. Now Persona 4 or Log Horizon, those are good fits on toonami.
