| Even I have to admit this was a pretty meh episode overall. It had plenty of game references which I found hilarious nonetheless, but the cooking contest thing wasn't necessary though since it's a dull cliche that should never be used ever again. |

I think the main problem is that most of the non-Japanese viewers don't understand the target audience for this anime, even at this point for some reason. People need to consider both the demographic and location this was intended to air. A lot of Japanese anime base are already Kancolle players or are very familiar with the game itself, thanks to a lot of things. Now, compare that to the unintended demographic, the rest of the world. Most people here are not familiar with the game or don't play the game because a lot of the things make it inconvenient for us while it's very convenient for them (ie. lottery timing, need of VPN or proxy/API link to play the game unless you use outside tools legally). So people like US or Europeans were hoping that the anime could bring more people in, but Diomedea doesn't see that. They only see the Japanese viewer base, which, again, know of the game's existence and most likely tried it out or currently play it. So there's no point in making an anime to bring more people, but rather cash in on the majority, which are those that are familiar with it. And from what I'm hearing, people who played the game are enjoying it quite a bit and are satisfied with all the fanservice. I think the only downside for us is that not every character can obviously get a major role in the anime but we've come to accept that already. The anime doesn't explain how the game works, because we already know. Instead, it shows how game mechanics translate outside of the game into the anime and such. In the end, for a fan of the game (and as a fan of the DesDiv6 myself), I really liked it and think this was one of the better episodes. I will possibly agree that maybe it could've worked better as an OVA since Fubuki takes a backseat and the plot is kinda on a standstill, but I really appreciate this fanservice anyways. I always wanted to see how all these girls interact with each other. If I want to learn the game, I play the game myself, which I already do :V. I Agree with your comment. at Japan they are already familiar with the game and how it works/plot, etc. thats why the anime offers something different and fun for the players to see. I didnt play the game myself. but this anime is still a solid 7/10 for me, though some might say this episode is cheesy. I already expect the Akatsuki sisters would win. lol |

| this was a pretty nice episode. i enjoy this show a lot more when they're focusing on SOL antics instead of battles. i liked that the sixth destroyers won only because nagato doesn't like spicy food haha. |

| I enjoyed myself too with this episode. Yes, I felt betrayed by the title. Hats off to that troll of a title, never saw a cooking contest coming. Kinda predictable, since everyone knew Destroyer Division 6 would win. Poor Ashigara though, I was actually rooting for her. Enjoyable, something I could turn my brain off to and immerse myself. 4/5 |

| Very loli focused episode. But any episode that throws Kongou, Nagato, Akagi, Shimakaze, and Atago into it is a good episode. Ashigara was fucking hilarious this episode. Playing the classic, I'm a teacher and I don't have many good stills and I'm getting too old to marry card was awesome. |

Poor Ashigara, her spicy curry wasn't popular with Nagato. lol Lack of Fubuki in this episode was unusual to be honest, although I don't mind having episodes like this one focusing on the other divisions at least, but I would like to see the battles against the Abbsyals once again. ^^ |

| Curry to the extreme lol The first plate tasted by Nagato had like 80% curry, 20% rice. Hmm, too generous on that curry lol. I like how Hibiki wears a hat, so G like xD I was surprised to see Kaga eating a huge bowl of curry with Akagi. That's 3 days worth of food for me lol. |

| -It's nice seeing Yuubari... but she literally took over Akashi's job. No repair ship to be found still : / -Some of the contestant introductions were puns on their in-game lines; They're really pushing them out there, lol -Shoukaku being clumsy is... maybe (?) a reference to how unlucky she is, since she took major damage in two operations -I'm surprised Ooi didn't jump on the idea of making curry for ktkm, since she makes curry for her in their dual secretary hourly lines. | Episode all face the most exquisite comedy, narratively added nothing to the story that remains firm to the pole, but on the other hand makes the characters more distinct and growing empathy between them and the viewer. Drawing more than good, the Diomedea is not skimping on quality, good! I wonder if they will do a second season of this show, I do not think that will end the story with only 12 or 13 episodes, I think! |

| A loli episode? I approve! Akatsuki is just the cutest darned thing. Especially when talking about being a lady. I enjoyed this episode for what it was. Although, I think since they're ship girls, they could've made curry in a more interesting way rather than just normally cooking it. Would've made the episode a lot more interesting. My only issue is the yuri garbage. Totally brings the show down. |

Weak story writing aside, the episode is saved because of the focus of the 6th Division Destroyer here. ~Akatsuki, Inazuma~ <3 Nice to see more interactions between the KanMusus, especially Akatsuki-class destroyers. Can't believe all four of the Akatsuki-class voiced by same peson. Good job! XP Naka-chan tsukkomi a lot in this ep xDD 4/5 :P |
