| Machimiya was actually redeemed, wtf? :O More Arakita backstory, revenge/hate fueled drive is not enough to reach champion status, it needs to be a purer drive. Self realization and a promise to drink bepsi :'( |

| Arakita has an admirable ambition that we can all relate to. Wow this episode made me respect Miya more but wow he broke up with his gf for the Inter High. Hope he gets the Bepsi. |

| I love how Arakita just seems nuts all along, kinda love his madness, and then at the end how it seems that there is much more to him than just being mad. But Onoda is such a pest in this episode with his constant reminders, just shut up and ride. |

| Arakita is cool. My 2nd fav from Yowapeda. I assume he wasn't that irritable before breaking elbow. It's interesting how he kept his punkish behaviour even after finding himself in road racing. Kinda shows that, while many flaws in us come from our past, it's not simple to get them out even after the problem caused them is gone. Still my most fav is Akira <3 pls more Akira <3 villain or redeemed, he is a cutie pie <3 |

| The full Arakita backstory was really cool, he's not my favorite Hakogaku racer but I definitely like him a lot more after this episode. Machimiya breaking up with his girlfriend to focus more on the Interhigh also made him more of a respectable character to me; it must've been really difficult and it really shows his commitment to cycling. Also he seems to have admitted defeat to Arakita, so I wonder what's going to happen to the "deal" between him and Midousuji. |
| "I'll buy you a Bepsi" Oh man the hype and feels at the end. Miya isn't a sore loser per and he can acknowlege his opppnent after giving everything. Respect and solid character development(tho I still question the need for this mini competition xD) Also expanding on Arakitas backstory was so nice, definitely love this guy now. |

| Machimiya didn't pose as much of a threat as I expected him to after leaving the pack. Fukutomi really has his awesome bro moments with him taking second place because he expected Arakita to take first. |
