I was planning to message you, but you messaged first :v I actually already finished grande road :P i usually dont watch that fast and i was writing comments after every episode, but damn... during the 3rd day of inter high shit got really serious... i think every since Kinjou couldn't move because of his knee and that was cliffhanger i just couldn't stop watching after that. It started to get really epic with the music and scenes too. Naruko scene when he was doing sprint climb and highfiving the audience, using his last bits of strength thinking of his team and falling after that was one of my favorite scenes.
Imaizumi next episodes was super epic as well contesting Fuku and beating him and beating Midosouji after that, he was a good character but he became super awesome during 3rd day, being acknowledged by Hakone's ace is incredible.
Overall it was unpredictable. i didn't know who would win on multiple occasions , really anyone could win. I dont mean 3rd day only. I think second opening kinda gave away with how Onoda was on the finish line and we saw Manami wings.
I really wish Kinjou or some other 3rd year would win, but mostly Kinjou. but Onoda is fine too.And there are some other parts that i didn't like, like the overall logic. They have a really length conversations while in a race, this thing just doesn't make sense for me, and with Midosouji turning his body and head and still pedalling on a high speed. There was a part where Manami shook hands with Onoda while racing Midosouji, like sure Midosouji would fall far ahead of them in that time, but no. But it's anime and conversations and those scenes are really important, it was really realistic with minimum conversations the anime wouldn't be that much enjoyable.
Pacing, i actually liked the pacing, the flashbacks to remind us what happened, i don't mean about the characters past flashbacks, i mean flashbacks of those scenes we already seen. i think it was very important to remind us to show the importance of that scene. And i'm really glad that inter high was that long and drawn out, characters got a lot of screen time and we as viewers got really drawn into the whole anime, like we are inside that world you know? if the pacing was faster the feeling would've been totally different.
Oh also scenes where someone would drop out of race and they would make it over dramatic? like they died or something? LOl i actually felt really sad for them and it was emotional, especially when Naruko dropped out. and then after i finsihed the episode i was like come on he is not dead, he just lost the race. That's what i mean, the anime makes us really emotional during the scenes that shouldnt be emotional, if you know what i mean.
The best thing is definitely characters, everything about them, just like you said character development at its finest. I also really enjoyed watching characters reactions to different things, like when Onoda and Manami were racing for the finish line aka goal. We saw different character reactions and that was really cool to watch. not to mention seeing Kinjou and Naruko crying after they heard who won.
And Omakes, don't forget them. i haven't seen any anime with as good of a way to end an episode as yowapeda did. Usually there is a preview and some cool end card or smth. Those Omakes were really funny and enjoyable and make you love characters even more, that was really creative of them. Glad we didn't have preview btw, cause they would kill the anticipation and surprise factor.
Overall it's definitely not perfect and might not be 10, but that fact that i like it so much, the anime, characters, Hime song, it makes it my favorite anime and i would feel really bad if i give it something lower than 10. That's because i had nothing to do the following day and i didn't set up my alarm clock, and without it i'm lost in time, i didn't even wake up once. I don't like sleeping that much cause it's way more than necessary and i have a lot of things i need to be doing. But when i have a good dream going on, i just can't bring myself to end it >_< it's like watching a good anime and stopping before finishing it. I don't remember what my dreams are after i fully wake up, but the feelings i have while dreaming is something else. I have adventure dreams usually and i like adventures, so when i'm dreaming i just don't want to end that adventure, also knowing that i won't see the same thing again, that's why i try to watch it till the end. Probably the reason why i feel so good in the end is because dreams were nice and not because of a long sleep.

Btw i didn't quite understand it in the anime, but why do they need someone to draft for them(ride in front of them) They asked Onoda to do that and he is the only who can. I get that he is a climber that's why only he can do it, but didn't understand why drafting is important,i have some ideas tho. And also it might be the same thing if my guess is correct. but why in the final race of first day Imaizumi and Arakita were trying to take the first place so their aces can have a better start. They were racing each other so hard trying to get that first place. What's the point? Even if someone is behind for 5 seconds would it matter that much actually?
Glad you are the same as me about Tadokoro. Onoda catching up over 100 racers was awesome too. some call it BS that he caught up, but i think it was ok. he was going very very fast, while others were going as fast as a turtle would. btw i loved how he was singing the Hime song. there is a lot on his shoulders so he is pressured and he unconsciously started singing the song that he loves and it kinda eased his mind a bit.
Jinpachi and Makishima's race was one of my favorites. I could feel the intensity and the pain that Jinpachi had knowing that it's the last time they can race and settle the score and his fear that they might not race together for the last time. Really emotional stuff, i think his voice actor done a great job,it made it really easy to connect to him. Honestly their friendship is such a great thing, it made me like this anime even more. Bromance for the win :P

I personally didn't like iron blooded orphans that much in the beginning. it was my first Mecha anime and my first space anime, i was never acquainted with them. I was getting drawn more and more into it in season 2, though there were lots of great moments in s1, but s2 is like very special for me. A little heartbreaking to watch for me. i saw a preview for ep 19 and i can't get myself to watch it, i don't want that thing to happen T_T Btw they are travelling through mars to earth and to some other space colonies.
It definitely is. i'm really enjoying it. I'm watching lots of seasonal animes, and i can't get around them, since if i would watch an episode, i'd rather watch Yowapeda, and i've got to the most interesting part too. I can't stop grinning for some reason, it's too enjoyable. I think it teaches good stuff too, not only about bikes i mean.
I never watched sword art online, it's not something for me, i don't like overhyped things no matter what it is, it's one of the most popular animes if not one. people both go way about it too. as far as i understand you either really love it or you really hate it. I haven't seen many people be in the middle. but that's how it goes with the most popular things i feel. I have no doubt it's pretty good tho, since lots of people have it as favorite. Not a bad idea overall to watch it, i will watch it in the future for sure.
