| Absolutely shocking developments that nobody saw coming.....and I'm not even sure whether I'm being sarcastic about the latter part. She's a principal character and a key eye candy one at that, no way they were ever going to leave her dead. The wheelchair ups her moe capacity and sympathy points too a lot. Inaho is also pretty much confirmed for alive too if you read some of the recent production notes on the series about the captain chick following a rumor that some guy is taking out Martian units left and right in Africa and going to investigate. Realistically that could only be one person, the invincible hero himself Inaho who is smarter than everyone and can totally shrug off a bullet to the head since he's just that cool. Honestly I don't know why anyone ever doubted that these characters would survive what was clearly just a cliffhanger put in there because the writers of this show have nothing else to fill the time or keep people just barely interested enough to tune into the second season to see what happens. It was also a lazily done cliffhanger at that too which is the kicker. I mean they could actually do some proper character development for once, but that'd probably just lead to more bitching. There's more money in action set pieces and generating those hype moments while Mika Kobayashi shrieks to a Sawano musical arrangement in the background than there is in an original story about characters people actually have a reason to give a damn about so there's no reason to bother with that sort of thing. |

| Slaine somehow saved Seylum, its not that much of an asspull. Remember Seylum body was never found, maybe she is now half cyborg. If Inaho survives then I agree it will be complete BS. |

| Speaking of Asseylum surviving the first season, I also wonder if Slaine actually hit that villain's (I don't remember nor do I want to remember his name) critical parts at all when he shot him out of pure rage. |

Also, I find Asseylum/Slaine pairing not very likely since we barely even have some interaction between them and it's implied that she has feelings for Inaho and vice versa. It could change in second season, though. So if the Martian/Terran war could be solved with a marriage between important Terran and Martian (aka Inaho/Asseylum) that would spell a happy ending for me. . . . But again... Urobutcher. |
