THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE.

In one of the most dramatically powerful anime episodes I believe I've seen, Kyoko appears to finally put Soichiro behind her.

And this episode is where the series stops being just a great show and to show its potential to be something special. If you liked this one, you'll love the rest of the series...

The episode felt like it was going slowly, but it went by so quickly... probably because I was enjoying it that much. Great episode. Seriously.

How can he possibly hide behind that tombstone? Both his shoulders are visible from sides. That wasn't very realistic.

I felt like that grave scene was somewhat symbolic. One of the main things standing between Kyoko and Godai was Soichiro's death. Soichiro has always been somewhat covering Godai.

Finally a serious and important episode.
But, shit those misunderstandings suck! From what Godai heard Kyoko hasn't moved on yet, he didn't here her monologue. And the ending conversation was too subtle to be satisfying.

This anime is good but I just don't have the patience for 52 episodes with virtually no progression. After investing so much time I absolutely must see it through to the end but each episode is becoming increasingly more irritating. Especially when it returns to the basic premise of the show that she can't forget about a dead husband.

Wow, that is one way of seeing how Soichirou is an obstacle of Godai's pursuit for Kyoko. I hope things clarify soon so that Godai and Kyoko's relationship can finally bloom.

Been enjoying this show a lot. Ofcourse I sometimes get annoyed by the other tennants and their behaviour towards Godai, and some of the filler episodes. But their have been a lot of powerfull episodes such as this one. Hope it continues being great.

Wow. I admit that some episodes were pretty frustating, but this one made up for so much. Incredible emotional payoff

4 years have passed, quite some time, Kyoko slowly forgetting Soichiro means Godai has a big chance, hopefully he doesn't mess up big time

Kyoko is ridiculous for staying faithful to her dead husband for four years and the neighbors are so nosy all the time.

Great episode!

Grieving takes different amount of time for different people so who am I to judge Kyoko san for taking this long to come in terms with her late husband.

There are five levels to griefing, fourth is depression and Kyoko san was visibly depressed in this episode. Surely she must have been depressed before, going on and off, but the anniverssary of her husbands death brougth those feelings back. Fifth and final level is acceptance, this is what we saw Kyoko san do at the grave, clearing her mind and accepting that she must move on, maybe not right now but eventually.

Kyoko san has such good friends, they were all worried and looking for her :) although they thought she was going to do a sudoku :(

Art was a bit more polished, they really cared for this episode.

And oh boy, the upcoming episodes, I don't want to spoil anything but it's going to be a rollercoaster.

I understand what they were going for with her starting to move on from Soichiro but the misunderstanding about her going to see him was a bit too dumb for them to fall for it, but I least they care about her xD
