| Their date trip to the deserted island was one of my favourites parts of the manga. It was just as good animated ^^ I don't know... Esdeath is purely evil. Yet she is the kind of evil character I simply can not despise. If I was in Tatsumi's situation I was definitely falling in love with her. Then followed but a full of conflicts relationship and probably death. But no doubt about the love part. |

| Just once can we get an anime protag who doesn't avoid sex at all cost. Makes it much harder to take a series seriously when the characters behave in a way that no real person would. |

Esdeath: Oh, I didn't know you were into that... we are really made for each other ^//^ Stupid Esdeath is making me ship her with that little stupid kid of Tatsumi xD - At this point... No, since several episodes already I see this series as a gory comedy. - Ok, the VN like scene made me laugh xD - So... backstory... we know what that may mean. - Really? MORE fanservice for next episode? Wasn't it enough already? |

| I went with 3.) Hold me please! Wonder how that one would have played out. Anyway, the 2 of them are parting again and I kinda want them to stay together. Tatsumi erasing his presence by just holding still is pretty farfetched and unbelievable. |

| They dared to put a beach episode in the middle of an arc (other beach episode next lmaooo) -.- Nothing much happend except Honest's son debut and Esdeath past. Conveniences are still annoying. |

| That was the first episode that I didn't really hate from this show. Sure, the stuff with sending them to a beach alone via Imperial Arms from Syura felt convenient for sure but at least the show spent some time in building some chemistry between the two, having Esdeath open up herself to Tatsumi about her past when it came to how she grew up and how she became as strong as she is now. There is genuine effort in fleshing out her character, which feels refreshing compared to how hollow everyone is as they only crave flesh and blood for the most part, or just fight for justice and it's as vague as that. Esdeath trying to search for Tatsumi after she lost him, and after wanting to be with him and showing sort of her heart to him was pretty tough but Tatsumi himself knows that he has to be enemies with her, even though he quite admires Esdeath a bit more after the whole convo. There is a warm heart there beneath her ice cold exterior. |
| Damn, not only is Esdeath's swordsmanship explosive, her ice relic power puts her in such a spot, it almost seems like she's invulnerable and yet at the same time capable of taking on just about anything thrown her way. Esdeath may be the sadistic general who dominates others, but to her, everything is the survival of the fittest, that's how she's always been brought up. Her very nature is that of a beast, but even so, she's still a human. Her brief time with Tatsumi is rather nice, she isn't overly attached or forceful either on Tatsumi. If only they were on the same side... Who knows, they could both be happy together. |
