| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- They got started on this pretty fast in the beginning. OP song is actually decent. Probably showed more characters than it should though. Ugh, Titta is annoying as I had thought. And pfft, that attempted assassination was sad. OST is decent as well overall although Eleonora herself is a bit OP so far. Since they showed all of the Madans in the OP song, I assume all of them will make an appearance in this season at some point. Dang, this was rushed though. I hope they don't cram too much even if it's a 1 cour for this season. |

| Talk about a rush job. That's more than half of volume 1 already. Next episode can just about cover the rest of the volume. And here I was wondering how they can cram 5 volumes in a single cour. That's how they do it(not a compliment). Ishikawa Kaito is okay for Tigre. I wish Tomato used her tomboyish voice instead of this energetic voice. And them closeups to her body parts. The camera sure knows its priority. OP is awesome as expected of Konomi Suzuki. ED is okay. At least Harada Hitomi doesn't use Engrish like in the Blade Dance OP. Though with Olga in both of the songs, I'm not too enthusiastic with this adaptation. Ah well, I lowered my expectation early on so I'm not that disappointed. At least I finally know how to read/pronounce Zchted. Better add the rest of the cast as well. |

| Well I see a bunch of big titted women,this seems like shit,rushed and well like something I'll regret watching...so I'll give this 2 more episodes before dropping (it's not like I was paying much attention while watching this anyways). If there's anything good that'll spawn from this,it'll be the doujins that'll be made of the female characters. |

| I don't know how to feel about this. This was really rushed. But I had fun, I guess, gonna keep watching anyways... I hope they slow down the pace. The OP song was.. really good, I'm a sucker for that type of music, that's another reason to keep watching. The ED was OK. |

Overall the episode was good, it was too rushed but that's normal with these kind of LNs. I stopped to be upset about the fast pacings and leaving out important stuff from the novels because this will not change in the near future. So far they let out the town market, Lim's toy and the trainig scene with Ellen. Animation is good, VA is good too and OP/ED are okay. Hope Volume 1 won't be ended with the next episode because then it would be true that they will adapt 6 volumes -_- |
| Madan no Ou to Vanadis what have they done to you. Ok frist I will say this the anime is by no means a representation of light novel so don't compare the two, second I was expecting the story to be rushed but not to this level this it is truly amazing 5 out of 6 chapters of V1 of the LN in 1 eps it's truly impossible for anything to good with that type of pacing. Even the manga which is I thought was a bad adaptation was better than this and that added a ton fanservice and skiped alot of the plot. I recommend the light novels but this has all the hallmarks of a bad adaptation |

| i guess i'm a little late to the party. instead of complaining on how much they skipped. the episode was kinda decent. the OP and ED are awesome. Ah man they skipped the part where Ellen and Tigre go to the town. i was really hoping to see it. So they seriously are covering 5 volumes with this adaption. i thought they would cover 3. |

| actually liked it. liked the op, the ed, the ost in general character designs are fine, overall story setting is interesting fanservice was there but i didn't mind it. don't know the novel but as others already confirmed the pacing is very fast. sad to hear that this will probably be a very rushed adaptation instead of two cour or split cour atleast |
| Well some fan service once in a while is good more my testosterone I guess? ._. Still, I could guessed its rushed even though I never read the novel. A bunch of names which a new viewer couldnt remember and have no idea what they meant, no explanation on what exactly is the relationship of the 2 nation, and a hostage being treated as well as the MC is being treated? Well bet there wont be any explanations anyway. I'll read up the LN when I have time. |

| Well, going into this with no knowledge of the LN, that actually caught me off guard. Despite the harem, fanservice and load of female characters (to come), it was interesting and actually holds some substance to its plot. It did seem a bit rushed, and I was hoping we'd get to see some army fighting in the beginning, but I'm satisfied with the first episode. It left a good impression on me. I like Ellen. She's nonchalant and and strong. And I'm betting this will be a series that I wished was longer. :> |
| Going into this with no knowledge of it whatsoever, I must say I quite liked this beginning. It does sorta feel rushed and weird that one who fought against another nation is "accepted" (I guess) so quickly. Nevertheless looking forward to seeing this unfold |
| Pretty okay episode. Like everyone said already they rushed through a lot. Coming from the LN it's a bit disappointing. The art style is amazing imo. Op & ed are alright. This was the standard introduction episode. Probably will start the action come next episode. After this episode I probably won't stick around past ep 3. I don't want to be bitch and complain about how they are skipping things. 3/5. |

| Really enjoyed the first episode and I don't really mind the fan service as much as I thought I would after having seen the PV. Already looking forward to next weeks episode! |
