Oh lol, gotcha. To find me on discord, just search up "Benkyo#0388" and my profile pic is a blue haired dude staring to the right. But if you still can't find me just tell me your name along with the numbers and I'll find you.

Huh, thought it was much longer since we last talked so I'm surprised it wasn't as long and that I told you about my glorious days at that hotel job lol. I remember you talking about playing basketball. How's that been?
Benkyo Apr 2, 2018 10:40 AM
That's some hardcore searching, lol. Shit, it might be longer than 2 years. I can't really recall the last time I saw you but I think I was still in high school when I did talk to you last, and I graduated high school almost 5 years ago at this point. And yeah, I'd be down to talk again
Benkyo Apr 2, 2018 2:07 AM
Yup, that's me. And you were Kyo, right?

Well it's a theory, a anime theory, thanks for reading.

Jokes aside we won't know exactly until we reach the end. If you're still skeptical you can always read the novel. So far I'm not complaining.

If your enjoying Gintama now then you'll really like the future episodes, so have fun with that because it gets very funny. Though, there are some occasional serious moments.

I think a lot of your MSMM comments are debatable. Homura was my favorite character, (though I watched it when I had only seen a somewhat small number of anime, if that means anything). And when I was saying how the girls need to use magic to prevent their soul from being tainted, I was mainly referring to what happened to Sayaka. And some of your predictions are right, but some of them are off. I will let you see about that.

I didn't realize you had already watched parts of Fairy Tail before. If you enjoyed the first thirty episodes then I think you will like the rest. But IMO it does not even compare to One Piece. I watched Fairy Tail shortly after catching up with OP, and afterwards I was outraged with all the comparisons just as you were with Kuroko no Basket and Haikyuu. But obviously our disappointments were for much different reasons, so after reading your post I have a feeling that you will like Fairy Tail. It isn't One Piece, though.

It's not some random woman mind you, it's the mother of a possible student he had (if he was the teacher) or possible prey. Also remember the killer was attempting a kidnapping, maybe he thought she called him out so he gave up about the kid.

But anyway, I can see the case's age being a huge turn down for this theory.

Gintama is definitely great. It starts out unimaginably slow, but it gets progressively better and eventually becomes difficult to stop watching. Just keep in mind it is 90% comedy, so there will be no consistent or overarching plot to look for. I will say it is probably the most unique anime I've ever seen. If you can get past the terribly slow start then it will be worth it, that is if you're looking to have a good laugh.

Sorry Madoka Magika wasn't your thing. It's one of those hit-or-miss types of anime where people either love it or hate it. I loved it, but there are still a lot of things that I can't say until you have watched all twelve episodes. Though I can still easily respond to your comments about it knowing what you have seen:

Admittedly the characters were not the selling point of the series. I never liked Sayaka, and Kyouko or Mami didn't get too much screen time. But I thought Homura and Madoka were great characters...but saying why would spoil parts you haven't been to. Though I definitely disagree about comparing all of them to most other "cliché" magical girl characters. I have seen a number of your standard magical girl series, and in most of those the characters all happy, normal, and caring personalities. But in MSMM you have Sayaka and Kyouko whose characteristics and pasts are dark as hell, Homura I won't say, and you're definitely right about Madoka being a crybaby, but who wouldn't be if they were in her situation?

About Kyubey being evil, it is pretty controversial. I definitely thing he/it is evil, and I will explain why. Becoming a magical girl means fighting the witches in the labyrinths FOREVER. Idk if they explained this already, but a magical girl needs to defeat witches in order to purify their soul (meaning purify their whole being). If they stop doing it, then their soul will continuously become tainted and eventually the magical girl will turn into a witch. They will have to fight the witches in the labyrinth for all eternity, watch their fellow magical girls and other close ones die or turn into other witches, and basically live in eternal suffering. To me that was pretty fucking sad. Madoka had to witness Mami die and see her friend Sayaka suffer, so of course she would be crying in a large part of the series (imo it would make her seem like a dense character if she didn't). From what you have watched, a lot of the characters have suffered miserably, and that's because of Kyubey. He continuously urges them to become magical girls without giving them any warning of the horrible things that will happen because of it. I can understand how you don't think turning their bodys into one part is enough to be sad, but just look at all the horrible things that are happening to the characters and then think about it. There are other reasons why I consider Kyubey to be evil, but I don't remember where those were in the series, but I think I made my point. But of course, that is just my opinion. Everybody has their own take on things, and I have no problem with that or with what you think.

About Madoka's voice, I guess I can understand. As I said, she cries a lot because of the things that happen in the series, but that will either be hit or miss for people, and for you it was the later. Sorry you haven't enjoyed the series that much. I would still recommend finishing it, despite everything. Based on what you think of it idk how much, if any your view of it will change after finishing it, but I know it greatly changed for me.

Your Kuroko no Basket comment absolutely reminds me of another similar anime on your list. I hate to bring you more disappointing news, but I must warn you that Fairy Tail sounds like something you would hate...I hated it, and your knb comments could not better describe how it was. I hate to be a spoil, but in the end you would probably be happier had you not wasted 175 episodes on something like that. I'm not flat-out saying "don't watch it," I'm just giving a warning that in my opinion it was the worst long-running shounen out of all of them.
BakaOtoko Feb 21, 2016 10:43 AM
Oh, ok.

That actually makes sense. First off, Satoru's mother discovered her murderer (presumably) knew she was looking at him. It also lead her to investigate Kayo's kidnapping case once more and ultimately found the real culprit. Now this person couldn't have killed Satoru's mother because she knew he was going to kidnap a kid; why? Because he didn't really do it and there's no way she could've knew who he was. Anyway, this murderer stole her phone which was used to tell Airi not to move because there was a fire, which was only to incriminate Satoru furthermore of the murder of his own mother, in other words, Airi was his tool. His goal wasn't only to get rid of someone who might've called him out, but to dress it as if Satoru killed her, like how he tried to incriminate Yuuki.
BakaOtoko Feb 21, 2016 7:34 AM
Oh so it is like Detective Conan shadow people kinda thing where you don't know how the murderer looks until the very end? Oh, ok.

Honestly though I find it pretty unlikely she would suicide, because even if she doesn't know, she is in fact enjoying those days with Satoru and company. Also why would there be a murderer in the present day if in the past there was no murderer? If Kayo truly killed herself then that wouldn't have made her the first victim hence giving the actual murderer no reason to attack Satoru's mother, it's inconsistent.
BakaOtoko Feb 21, 2016 5:17 AM
Oh fuck my bad, I don't usually refer to girls that much.

Actually no, I've met a lot of inconceivable people that while I may be surprised, it doesn't shock me quite as much because I have the feeling I have already seen it all. =P

Do you think so? Kenya doesn't seem to have red eyes, unless it's got to do with Japan's way of making anime scenes look cooler than they actually are. And actually no, I don't think Kayo killed herself, at least not in the timeline where Satoru does try to prevent her death because why would she do that when for the first time she is having fun? It wouldn't make sense. And yeah, it may be addressed as pedophilia to some, but for me it's more of a "you're no longer 29 years old, so even if you have the mind of one you're still a kid" kinda thing.
BakaOtoko Feb 18, 2016 5:51 PM
What? Is there some kind of joke I'm missing? Sorry I don't quite catch it.

Well not really, she doesn't enjoy action that much either. I have trouble trying to understand her sometimes ... what the hell most of the time. But hey at least it helps me somehow, seeing that I won't be that schocked if I ever meet a person as closed as her, right?

Wow that cliffhanger ripped my lungs out and cooked them for lunch. During that last scene I couldn't help but call for Satoru to come quickly or something. Also am I the only one that thinks the teacher is the murderer? I don't know, I just get the vibe he's got something up his sleve. He knows about Kayo's abuse and is well aware of the circunstances and places she goes to, doesn't that seem ... I don't know oddly convinient? And yeah, I want me some Satoru x Kayo, and I believe many do! :)
BakaOtoko Feb 17, 2016 6:29 AM
Yeah I just got used to it to the point I don't give a fuck about it anymore. There will always be those idiots that judge a book by the first 8 pages instead of reading the whole thing. My sister is no different, I get to listen to his absurd criticism like everytime she brings anime or a movie. More so when we watch a movie because she literally doesn't watch anime because she "doesn't like people speaking japanese". I remember about 4 movies right now to which she wanted to skip because she was getting bored of some scenes and in the end she didn't fully understand those movies, well of fucking course how in fuck's sake do you want to understand a movie if you don't stop skipping the damn thing? I know it doesn't have anything to do with those idiots on the internet, but it just made me think of my siser and her incompetence. She won't listen either, she's 6 years older than me and acts like a 5 year old kid.

Anyway, didn't know the English name for Boku dake, and honestly I feel more comfortable calling it Boku dake. =P
