| What in the fuck.... I just started watching this for the first time and I had to search up this eps animation to see if it was just this ep. Then I read about the producer resigning and all that shit. Guest animator/director or not, who the fuck thought it was a good idea to let this ep air like this? If I didn't google it and find out the animation goes back to normal i'd be dropping this show right now. |

| going back through TTGL on bluray now to be honest, i never noticed the QUALITY the first time around . the episode wasnt terrible, but its by far the weakest of the series. other than that, loving it in 1080. |

| The art quality was bad in this episode. The characters looked very plain and flat. It wasn't very entertaining either, to be honest. The combining requirement felt contrived and took away from the already suspension-breaking mecha battles. There wasn't much substance other than that, either, so meh. It was okayish. If future episodes keep going this route, though, I probably won't like this series. |
| I guess this episode was more comedic, so I'm fine with the animation being on the lazier side here. But hopefully it doesn't become too common throughout the show or it's gonna piss me off. New characters seem pretty cool and I doubt that's the last we'll see of them. Although the only name I can remember is Kittan but I'm assuming that's fine since the sisters are more like a collective person than three separate individuals, at least from the way they were presented. |

| I felt like they tried to force a lot of comedy into this episode and the majority of it wasn't funny. Camina was still funny though, I liked the part when Camina hit the mech to try to get it to work. It reminded me of something Spike would do in Cowboy Bebop. I hope those people don't join their crew because they would be annoying. |

| Yet another good episode with good action and good humor. Went into this not really expecting much, but this is really good! I even like Leron now, he's one of the funniest characters along with Kamina and Simon's little arguments and shenanigans. And I liked the Black siblings, I wish they stayed around a little longer. |

| The beast men were so cute and fuzzy though! The three sisters have all distinct personalities and it was quite funny. Also, yeah, the animation did seem a bit different. Great episode though! |

| Lol wow just rewatched this episode and realized just how terrible the animation for this episode is. It was totally killing me the whole time I was watching it xD. And I was watching It on netflix and not the edited blu ray version so It was kinda ultra terrible xD Still love the series so much though, 10/10 |
| Boota sacrifices his booty to help Gurren Lagann kick some beastman butt! Yeah, the animation was pretty bad in this episode. I mean, for the past couple of episodes, the animation has been sub-par, and this episode was no better. It's a pretty cool show still, though. They've gotten pretty lucky so far, but honestly, Kamino's obsession with manliness and beauty is really gonna get in the way of their performance. They could've combined much earlier, but Bro kept whacking Simon away due to his lack of beauty. |

| This episode perfectly displays everything I hate about this show so far. Kamina is enough of a dumbass to throw giant boulders at Simon and of course it's completely ignored how deadly that actually is. The fanservice was obnoxious and completely unnecessary. Kamina pushing away Simon in the heat of the battle was one of the most damning moments in the show and shows just how goddamn dumb the characters (except Yoko, who is the only redeeming character in this show) are. Of course doing a cool looking move is more important than surviving, right? How bad an episode is is directly proportional to how much Boota appears in the show. Boota appeared in this one A LOT, and even played a big role in its story. A role that was incredibly cringeworthy, anti-climactic and dumb. First, the fact that a robot stopped working just because its pilot got hungry is absurd and made me want to slam my head against the wall. I didn't expect to see something even MORE obnoxious than that in this whole episode. But as this show tends to do, they exceeded my expectations. Boota REMOVES HIS OWN ASS AND GIVES IT TO THEM TO EAT. I wanted to stop watching the moment that happened, basically. Let's not even talk about how dumb the villains of this episode have been. That was a design disaster. Cutesy pink balls with legs and eyes. Do I even need to say anything? And, of course, after they were defeated, the main characters just LET THEM GO after they tried to kill them. Makes perfect sense. The new blonde guy thinking that his sisters were killed was basically just the show creators rubbing it in the audience's face "Haha, you really thought there would be some actual weight to the story , and some tangible stakes? Tough shit!". I almost forgot to mention the new characters. The guy is an at least mildly interesting character, but as soon as the girls appear, they start fawning over Simon and then they switch to fawning over Kamina, who has shown himself to be an idiot MINUTES earlier. Is this turning into a harem show now, or something? Are men the only thing these girls can think of? What a terrible introduction of the three of them. I sound a bit like an edgelord writing this but considering that some of my favourite shows are fluffy moeshit without any dark aspects in them, it's not that. Kill la Kill wasn't overly edgy either but it was possible to actually take it seriously, and didn't present itself as badly as this show. This is one of the worst episodes of anything I've watched. A 1/5 episode for an otherwise 2/5 show so far. |
