Aldnoah.Zero Season One
| As I was watching this weeks episode, something came to mind. Yuki was talking about how if the base was destroyed, the people of Earth could go extinct. Then that got me thinking about another show about humans that survived near-extinction: Gargantia! I don't know if this has ever been talked about, but IMO Aldnoah Zero could be the prelude to Gargantia. Go ahead and argue this among yourselves, but one thing that stood out to me the most was what I read on anisuki's forums. http://forums.animesuki.com/showthread.php?t=119195&page=4 The lack of a moon in Gargantia. Either that's one hell of a coincidence or Heaven's Fall is the reason there's no moon in Gargantia. Regardless, I thought it was pretty cool. Flame me if I'm wrong to your hearts content :D |

| The problem I have with it is if the people have already colonized mars then what's the point of escaping into space as cephalopods? Or even interstellar vessels for that matter. And correct me if I'm wrong the people of that earth were warring over technology and then later because of the oncoming ice age not due to invaders from Mars (who happened to also be genetically human). |

| I'm not talking about a similarity in characters, I was just brainstorming(?) and thought that Aldnoah could have lead to the events of Gargantia. It could entirely be possible as A0 is set in 2014, whereas Gargantia is set to be in the far future (hundreds, maybe even a thousand years) and within that timespan, humanity could have reached near extinction, which would result in post-Gargantia earth. After the Earth is ravaged by war, the Martians could have abandoned Earth as it can no longer sustain life, and we all know they sure as hell don't like Mars, so they're forced to leave the solar system, maybe even taking some people from Earth with them, and thus they create the Galactic Alliance. Of course this is all just speculation, but I randomly came up with this idea and thought i'd share it to see what others think :s |

| Yeah Aldnoah.Zero = Gargantia. Equality in disappointment and wasted potential. Though even Gargantia's characters had a bit more depth than most of the characters in Aldnoah. |

| Id say garganita was better at being what it wanted to be. The problem with gargantia is it wasnt what mal people wanted it to be. Aka battle shounen with robots in space. |

Yep, the writing in Gargantia was way better. If you recognized the tropes, the plot was coherent too. I can't even start to guess where Aldnoah is going or what it wants to be. |
| I kinda see the similarities but they are different. for example Aldnoah zero is based in Japan |
