| Touka being so waifu, thanks, that's all I need. THAT said, Much respect for Nishiki, he grew on me. I love Tsukiyama, he gives the flavor to the show, so far. |

| I feel like the pacing's too fast. We see a bit of Nishiki's background which I felt would be more compelling if they didn't rush it in < 5 minutes. Overall, I'm enjoying this series so far, but that pacing and censoring kills me inside. |

| Tsukiyama is a seriously creepy dude. Loving him. Pacing was perhaps a little too quick, but the episode was still absorbing and one of the better ones so far. Interested to see where this goes. |

| An okay episode, censorship doesn't bother me much, and i've even found myself feeling sorry for Nishiki. That Gourmet dude is a really unique nut case, sniffing that blood-soaked napkin and getting off... wow. Touka looked badass, though i'm really holding my breath for Kaneki and the white hair... |

| Another amazing episode :) Mamoru Miyano is really funny as hell!!! Seriously brilliant stuff!! Even though i haven't read the manga, i really feel like they did skip alot of things in one episode. Heck how come Nishio accepted Kaneki so early even though he nearly killed him back there? The training with Kaneki and Yomo was fast forwarded as well. Nishio's backstory was good though. I actually thought Kimi was her sister and all. Tbh i don't like Kaneki. Even though the main reason i watched this is because how cool that masked guy is. I enjoyed more about Touka since she's much more capable of herself and badass to boot. Though sometimes she sounds like Maaya Sakomoto in some scenes! Amamiya, Sora is truly an excellent seiyuu!! I do hope Kaneki improves soon. And that bite at the end!!! I can't wait for the next episode!!! |

| Is the shift from ep 4 to 5 supposed to be confusing, as 4 ends with Kaneki in the banquet Buuuut 5 just kind of makes that a dream, or.. well it never shows how he's saved. Also what about his mask? Is this one of those "Yeah you should have read the novel/manga first because Ho-lee sheets this is going to be a fast ride." |

| From what people are saying about how BAD A the manga is, I am kind of disappointed I did not read that first instead. Now, to get on topic. While I am definitely enjoying the series, even I (someone who has not read the manga) noticed the discrepancies of plot in this episode. Just to name a few (that others have pointed out.): 1. The fact that they skipped his training with Yomo almost completely, but he still managed to punch out the ghoul who was terrorizing Nishi. Like, what the hell? Then, what happened to the other two ghouls? They did not attack at all even after their buddy got knocked out, and if they did, Kaneki was able to take both of them on with not even a scratch to allude to some type of altercation? The most we get is a small scene from an episode or two ago where Yomo throws him around in the basement and him complaining about his arm this episode as a hint to his training. 2. The fact that Kimi said she was fine with Nishi as long as he did not eat her parents or siblings, then we later find out they are dead... I don't know if that is more of a discrepancy or just plain weird. The succession was just off. The way she said it. Made it seem like they were alive when they clearly aren't. Unless her family was killed by a ghoul...other wise, why even mention it? 3. The fact that he can now hit Tsukiyama with no fear or apprehension and he and Touka are perfectly in sync for an attack...? Though, admittedly, that has more to do with the first point I made. 4. The obvious one. The fact that we ended episode 4 with a cornered Kaneki being towered over by a blood soaked Tsukiyama (his suit WAS white at first, right? O.O) in his little diner's Colosseum only for episode 5 to reveal that Kaneki is free and harm free when Tsukiyama is clearly disturbed...and obsessed. What? O.O Not even a flashback of some sort to explain that one? Other than those things, that this thread has substantially explained as poor manga to anime transition (at least some of them), I enjoyed this episode, and I quite enjoy the show. But, I do wish that the anime had remained more true to the manga, and 12 episodes is simply not enough to fully develop this story. I know anime is basically just an advertisement billboard for the manga, but seriously, why even bother with only 12 episodes? Why even waste time and get hopes up if you are not even doing the story right? Why butcher and half-ass it? |

| Amazing episode.... From beginning to end. I absolutely love Tsukiyama! He's the most entertaining character I've seen in a long time by far! Absolutely hilarious and crazy. I really liked Nishiki this episode, his girlfriend is absolutely amazing I hope to have a girlfriend like that lol. I enjoyed Nishiki's back story, very good character development. The fighting and everything was amazing, Tsukiyama is strong and Kaneki has improved! Toka vs Tsukiyama is going to be amazing! 5/5. |

| There is really something ''weird'' about that Gourmet - crazy guy :O Liked the battle between Touka and Gourmet ! Poor Nishi :/ And yes... Touka seems really pretty with her kagune ! |
